Dr. Yogendra Nayak has taken over the charge of ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ from ๐๐ฟ. ๐ก๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ธ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ, who has recently assumed the role of ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐น ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฃ๐ฆ.
An accomplished academician, researcher, and mentor, Dr. Nayak has made significant contributions to MCOPS since 2005. His work in pharmacology education, research methodology, scientometrics, scholar mentoring, and academic leadership has greatly strengthened the institutionโs teaching and research ecosystem.
Dr. Yogendra Nayak has authored 103 Scopus-indexed publications and holds an H-index of 26. He has successfully guided numerous postgraduate and PhD scholars. He has also conducted several research-oriented academic sessions, empowering PG and PhD students with advanced research skills and scientific insights.

Nandakumar, Vice Principal, MCOPS, and Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, delivered a keynote address at the Faculty Development Program (FDP) on โComprehending the New Syllabus of B.Pharm: Curriculum, Pedagogy and Outcomesโ organized by Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru, on 6 June 2026.
Dr. Nandakumar delivered a keynote lecture titled โBridging the Transition: Key Differences between the Current and New PCI Regulations and Curriculum,โ providing a comprehensive overview of the revised Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) curriculum framework for the B.Pharm programme.
The FDP witnessed active participation from pharmacy educators and academic leaders, fostering discussions on strengthening pharmacy education and facilitating a smooth transition to the revised PCI curriculum.
During the event, Dr. Nandakumar was felicitated by the organizers in recognition of his contributions to pharmacy education and curriculum development. He also participated in the release of the book โCompetency-Based Education for Health Professionals,โ highlighting contemporary approaches to competency-driven healthcare education.

The Centre for Toxicovigilance and Drug Safety, Department of Pharmacy Practice, MCOPS, MAHE, is pleased to announce a Two-Day On-site Workshop on the GRADE Approach, to be held on 08โ09 July 2026 at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal.
As a continuation of the capacity-building initiatives in evidence synthesis following the Systematic Review and Meta-analysis training programme, this workshop will provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in applying the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation) approach for assessing certainty of evidence and developing evidence-based recommendations.
The programme will feature expert-led lectures, interactive discussions, and practical sessions designed to strengthen competencies in evidence-based healthcare and clinical guideline development.

Dr. Guha completed her Ph.D. from NIPER Hajipur, with research focused on the therapeutic outcomes of tuberculosis treatment. The session was delivered by Dr. Aromal S. B. (Pharm.D), Founder of Dr. Aromalโs IELTS Academy, who shared valuable insights on higher education opportunities abroad, including course selection, application processes, and preparation strategies. Over 30 Pharm.D and M.Pharm students, the webinar served as an important academic enrichment initiative aimed at helping students make informed decisions about their future academic and professional pathways.
