Discovery of Neutron | James Chadwick’s Revolutionary Experiment Explained

आज के इस पोस्ट में हम Neutron की खोज को सरल और रोचक तरीके से समझते हैं। वर्ष 1932 में James Chadwick ने यह सिद्ध किया कि परमाणु के नाभिक में एक तटस्थ (neutral) कण मौजूद होता है, जिसे neutron कहा गया। Paraffin wax experiment के माध्यम से उन्होंने दिखाया कि बेरिलियम पर alpha particles गिराने से एक अत्यधिक penetrating radiation निकलती है, जो बाद में neutrons के रूप में पहचानी गई। Neutrons का कोई charge नहीं होता, लेकिन इनका mass लगभग proton के बराबर होता है और ये नाभिक में protons को बाँधकर रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। यह खोज आधुनिक परमाणु भौतिकी की नींव मानी जाती है।

Gravitational Waves: How the Universe Sends Messages | NASA & LIGO

Gravitational waves are one of the most fascinating discoveries in modern physics, giving humanity a completely new way to observe the universe. First predicted in 1916 by Albert Einstein as part of his General Theory of Relativity, gravitational waves are ripples in the fabric of space-time created by the motion of extremely massive objects such as colliding black holes, neutron stars, and supernova explosions.
According to NASA, gravitational waves travel at the speed of light and carry valuable information about their violent cosmic origins—information that cannot be obtained through traditional telescopes. Unlike light, gravitational waves pass through matter almost unaffected, allowing scientists to “hear” events happening billions of light-years away.
