Rockwoods International School was privileged to host an insightful and experiential session with Dr. Madhav Deo Saraswat, Chief Advisor and Mentor at Kฤsiga School, Dehradun.

With over three decades of experience in education and leadership, Dr. Saraswat shared valuable perspectives on leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and the importance of understanding people within a team. His distinguished journey includes serving as a teacher and housemaster at The Doon School, Principal of The Scindia School and Hyderabad Public School, along with leadership roles across several reputed educational institutions.

Drawing from his rich experience as an educator, mentor, housemaster, and school leader, Dr. Saraswat emphasised that every individual brings a unique personality, strength, and perspective to a team. Effective leadership, he explained, is about recognising these differences, bringing people together, and creating an environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully.

Rockwoods International School is proud to facilitate a 7-day hybrid Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship Programme, presented by Mr. Aditya Ranjan, Director & Co-Founder, GlobalCert, Singapore.

The programme offers students an enriching international learning experience across Singapore and Malaysia, combining academic learning, expert interactions, practical exposure, and experiential learning.

As part of the programme, students will participate in expert-led sessions with professors from NUS in Singapore and engage in academic and practical learning opportunities at MAHSA University, Malaysia. Through interactive sessions, projects, and hands-on experiences, students will explore key areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, and management.

MAHSA University will also provide opportunities for micro-credentials and project-based internships, while students pursuing medical studies can benefit from exposure to its super-speciality hospital.

With NUS, MAHSA University, and GlobalCert coming together, the programme goes beyond conventional classroom learning and certificates. It is designed to equip students with global exposure, practical skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and an understanding of innovation in an international environment.

Rainy Day Celebration โ€“ Splash, Explore & Discover!

The Early Years children at Rockwoods International School celebrated Rainy Day with great joy and enthusiasm, turning the monsoon season into an exciting opportunity for exploration, creativity, movement, and imaginative learning.

Through a range of engaging activities, our young learners discovered the many wonders of rainy days.

Cloud Makers encouraged children to explore how clouds are connected with rain while expressing their ideas through creative art and craft.

Rainy Animals & Insect Explorers introduced them to the different animals and insects commonly seen during the rainy season, nurturing observation skills and curiosity about nature.

As Little Sailors, the children enjoyed imaginative play with boats, creating their own rainy-day adventures and stories.

The Slide, Balance & Splash activity added movement and excitement while helping children develop coordination, balance, confidence, and gross motor skills.

The Pretend Play Zone gave our young learners the freedom to take on different roles, communicate, imagine, and create their own rainy-day narratives.

The celebration beautifully brought together sensory exploration, physical activity, creativity, observation, and pretend play, making learning joyful and memorable.

From cloud makers to little sailors, our Early Years explorers embraced the magic of the monsoon with curiosity, laughter, and endless imagination.

Rhythms of Tradition | S**C MACAY at Rockwoods International School

Rockwoods International School, Udaipur, was delighted to be part of an enriching cultural experience under the aegis of S**C MACAY, bringing the timeless beauty of Indian classical dance and music closer to our students.

Renowned Kathak maestro Shri Vishal Krishna captivated the audience with his expressive storytelling, intricate footwork, graceful movements, and masterful layakari. His artistic portrayal of the monsoon, nature, birds, and animals offered students a fascinating glimpse into the expressive depth of Kathak, while his soulful presentation of โ€œThumak Chalat Ram Chandraโ€ created a memorable moment for everyone present.

The performance was enriched by the exceptional musical accompaniment of Shri Anand Mishra on Tabla, Shri Jaivardhan Dadhich on vocals, and Ustad Ghulam Waris Khan on Sarangi.

The school extended a warm welcome and felicitations to the artists, acknowledging their role in keeping Indiaโ€™s rich classical traditions alive.

The interactive session that followed allowed students to engage with the artists and explore the nuances of Kathak, rhythm, expression, and Indian classical arts. It was a wonderful opportunity for our learners to experience culture beyond the classroom and develop a deeper appreciation for Indiaโ€™s artistic heritage.

Rockwoods International School celebrated Indiaโ€™s 80th Independence Day with great pride, patriotic fervour, and heartfelt gratitude towards our nation.

The celebration began with the Flag Hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by an inspiring address by the esteemed Director of Rockwoods School, Dr. Deepak Sharma, and the Principal of Rockwoods International School, Dr. Vasudha Neelmani.

A deeply moving patriotic poem presented by the Principal of Rockwoods High School, Ms. Anjala Sharma, paid tribute to the sacrifices of our martyrs and reminded everyone of the immense value of the freedom we cherish today.

Soulful patriotic songs and a vibrant group dance further added to the spirit of the celebration, filling the campus with enthusiasm, unity, and love for India.

The occasion beautifully reflected the values of gratitude, patriotism, and responsible citizenship, inspiring our students to understand that the freedom we celebrate today also comes with the responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the nationโ€™s future.
