In July 1974, in The City Palace Complex, His Late Highness Maharana Bhagwat Singhji Mewar established Maharana Mewar Public School (MMPS).

Maharana Mewar Public School is an English medium co-educational senior secondary school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. New faces, fresh dreams and a stage full of talent! MMPS welcomed its newly enrolled students from Grades I to XI with a vibrant Freshers’ Day celebration.

The young newcomers captivated the audience with dance, songs, poem recitation, yoga and mantra chanting, bringing their confidence, creativity and individuality to the fore.

The event was coordinated by Ms Shabana Nath and marked a joyful beginning to the students’ MMPS journey filled with promise, discovery and new possibilities.

Maharana Mewar Public School marked the installation of its Cyber Club reinforcing its commitment to nurturing responsible and cyber-aware young citizens.

Ishvi Chitora ( Grade XI E) was inducted as Cyber Ethico, while Neerav Kansara (Grade XI E) assumed the role of Cyber Techie in esteemed presence of Dr Rakhee Trivedi ( Headmistress, MMPS).

The ceremony was complemented by an Inter-House Drama Competition on Cyber Safety, where students from Grades VI–XII brought contemporary digital challenges to life through engaging performances, underscoring the importance of safe, ethical and responsible online conduct.

At MMPS, students are encouraged to develop communication skills at every stage of their learning journey. Two engaging sessions for different age groups focused on building clarity, confidence and effective expression.

For students of Grades I–IV, an English Speaking Skills Workshop was conducted by Ms. Varsha Talreja, Director and Founder of Smartskills – The After School Program and a certified Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar Trainer. Through interactive activities, demonstrations and practice exercises, students strengthened their phonemic awareness, pronunciation and articulation of vowel sounds, gaining greater confidence in spoken English.

For Grades XI–XII, a demonstration session on Communication and Public Speaking Skills was conducted by Dr. Amrita Bokdia, Founder, AMB Consulting, Udaipur, and a qualified life-skills coach and counsellor. The interactive session explored powerful communication, stage presence, voice modulation and body language. Students were introduced to the 7–38–55 principle associated with Albert Mehrabian, with its relevant context, and practised techniques including the Duchenne smile, power poses and PREP (Point–Reason–Example–Point) to structure thoughts and respond effectively during extempore speaking.

Dr. Rakhee Trivedi, Headmistress, attended the senior session, while Ms. Parul Mehta (PGT, English) coordinated the programme.

Together, these initiatives reinforced an essential aspect of education at MMPS—empowering students to move beyond simply speaking to communicating with clarity, confidence, purpose and impact.

The festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi resonated across MMPS on September 14, 2026 as students from Grades I to VI came together in a vibrant celebration steeped in devotion, creativity and youthful exuberance.

A graceful Fancy Dress Presentation by Grade V brought the divine forms of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and Lord Kartikeya to life, followed by captivating devotional dances and an energetic Hula Hoop Performance.

The youngest performers added a lively musical dimension with a confident Band Performance, infusing the celebration with rhythm and verve.

An evocative confluence of faith, tradition and young talent, the celebration reflected the joy of coming together to honour the auspicious festival of Lord Ganesha.

MMPS athletes delivered commendable performances across skating and squash, showcasing speed, skill, determination and sporting spirit.

At the CBSE West Zone Skating Tournament 2026, held at SRN International School, Jaipur, Monish Valichawal Suthar (Grade 5) secured Bronze in U-11 Boys One-Lap Road Quads, while Devyani Ranawat (Grade 4) won Bronze in U-11 Girls One-Lap Road Quads and finished 4th in 500 m Quads. Darshan Tank (Grade 8) added a Silver in U-14 Boys 500 m Inline.

In squash, Pavit Kaur Arora (Grade XI) won Bronze in the Girls’ Under-17 category at the Rajasthan State Squash Championship 2026 in Jodhpur. The only player from Udaipur to compete, Pavit put up a strong fight in the semi-final against Jaipur’s Lavanya Sodhani, who went on to win Silver.

These achievements reflect the students’ tenacity, discipline, competitive spirit and commitment to sporting excellence—a proud moment for the entire MMPS community.

What if a lesson could be planted, nurtured and watched grow? At Maharana Mewar Public School, Green Week turned that idea into action—blending environmental stewardship, experiential learning and the heritage of Mewar.

At Moti Magri, students of Grade IX, NCC, Scouts & Guides, Eco Club, Interact Club and INTACH Heritage Club planted saplings, explored their role in sustaining biodiversity and pledged to nurture them.

100 students of Grades I–III discovered the valour of Maharana Pratap and the rich heritage of Mewar through an engaging educational visit.

Students of Grades IV–V explored germination and sprouting, planting home-prepared sprouts in soil pots and transforming classroom concepts into living experiences.

A week where learning took root and responsibility grew.

Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir and Maharana Mewar Public School came together for a delightful teachers’ picnic at Moti Magri. The day was filled with laughter, team games, melodious songs, refreshing moments and joyful camaraderie among the teachers of both schools.

The celebration became even more special as everyone came together to celebrate the birthday of our Hon. Director Mr. S. K. Sharma with warmth and affection.

With refreshing treats, cheerful moments and wonderful memories, the picnic was a perfect blend of relaxation, bonding and togetherness.

On Teacher’s Day, 5 September 2026, MMPS commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan with a special celebration honouring the invaluable role of teachers in shaping young minds.

Following a special assembly, students expressed their gratitude through a lively skit, soulful songs and an energetic rap, complemented by an engaging game that added to the spirit of the occasion.

Dr. Rakhee Trivedi, Headmistress, applauded the students for their enthusiastic performances and encouraged them to uphold the highest ideals of character, learning and conduct, inspiring them to grow into responsible and conscientious individuals.

A Special Assembly on Janmashtami was organised on 3 September 2026.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Headmistress Dr. Rakhee Trivedi, followed by a presentation by the Primary students on the significance of the festival and the teachings of Lord Krishna. A thematic dance performance further enriched the celebration.
