Sadbhavana Diwas, observed on 20 August commemorates the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and celebrates the values of goodwill, peace, harmony and mutual trust beyond differences of caste, religion and language.

At Maharana Mewar Public School, Grade 3 marked the occasion with a special assembly highlighting unity, empathy and peaceful coexistence, while Grades 4 and 5 engaged in a creative Harmony Band-Making Activity, expressing the spirit of togetherness and mutual respect.

The activities sensitised students to the enduring values of harmony, inclusivity and unity in diversity.

The Department of Social Sciences, Maharana Mewar Public School, organised an Inter-House Miniature Model Making Competition on the theme “Elements of Social Science.” Convened by Ms. Saba Shaukat Sheikh and Ms. Sunita Sisodiya, the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all houses.

Students showcased imaginative miniature models reflecting diverse themes from history, geography, civics, and economics, demonstrating creativity, conceptual understanding, and collaborative learning. A Fire Safety Mock Drill was conducted at Maharana Mewar Public School, The City Palace, Udaipur to strengthen emergency preparedness and fire safety awareness among the school community.

Conducted under the supervision of Captain Rishabh Suri and Mr. Pranay Jani, the drill witnessed the participation of the teaching, non-teaching, office, ground, M.T. and City Palace security staff. Participants were trained in evacuation procedures, the safe use of fire extinguishers, emergency reporting protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be followed during a fire emergency.

The exercise reinforced the significance of preparedness, discipline, and coordinated action, equipping staff with essential skills to respond effectively during emergencies.

Maharana Mewar Public School, The City Palace, Udaipur, felicitated its distinguished alumnus Dr. Palash Kumawat (Batch of 2016) in the esteemed presence of Maharani Sahiba Nivritti Kumari Ji Mewar of Udaipur on August 10,2026.

Commending his extraordinary scientific trajectory, Maharani Sahiba lauded his work spanning the depths of the oceans to the frontiers of Mars, while acknowledging the unwavering support and contribution of his parents to his accomplishment.

A Postdoctoral Researcher at MARUM, University of Bremen, Germany, Dr. Kumawat pursues interdisciplinary research in fluid–rock interactions, marine geochemistry and subseafloor habitability. In his address, he reflected on the formative influence of his teachers and underscored the importance of following one’s intellectual calling with conviction. He also highlighted the significant water footprint of Artificial Intelligence, advocating discerning technological use and a deeper commitment to sustainability.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Kumawat extended his special thanks to Shriji Huzur Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Ji Mewar of Udaipur and Maharani Sahiba for the honour of his felicitation and for recognising his journey. He also acknowledged the enduring influence of his teachers in shaping his academic and scientific trajectory.

The Art School conducted the Inter-House On-the-Spot Painting Competition, inviting students to respond creatively to the themes Cultural Heritage of India (Junior) and Climate Change: A Call for Action (Senior).

The Music Department organised the Inter-House Instrumental Competition (Grades VI–XII) and the Inter-House Song Competition (Grades III–IV), providing a platform for students to demonstrate their musical proficiency across instrumental and vocal genres.

The competitions were graced by Mr. S.K. Sharma (Hon. Director) and Dr. Rakhee Trivedi (Headmistress), who commended the participants for their poise, musicianship and spirited participation.

The Department of English organised a series of Inter-House literary competitions in the School Library on 20 and 21 July 2026, celebrating students’ creativity, articulation, and presence of mind.

The programme featured the Junior Storytelling Competition and JAM (Just A Minute) Competition on 20 July, followed by the Senior Cosplay Competition and the Cue-Based Narration Competition for the Middle and Senior Wings on 21 July. Across the events, participants demonstrated confidence, originality, eloquence, and imaginative expression through storytelling, impromptu speaking, character portrayal, and narration.

Hon. Director Mr. S. K. Sharma and Headmistress Dr. Rakhee Trivedi encouraged the participants and commended their enthusiastic participation. The competitions were adjudicated by Ms. Aanchal Swaroop Saxena, Ms. Pratima Paliwal, Ms. Abhilasha Sharma, and Mrs. Kiran Jyoti Kunwar. MMPS continues to empower students and educators through meaningful opportunities that foster leadership, environmental responsibility, discipline, and a spirit of national service.

Ms. Saba Shaukat Sheikh, Ranger Leader, represented MMPS at the Wipro Earthian Paryavaran Mitra Award 2026 Workshop at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Divisional Headquarters, Surajpol. Conducted by Ms. Priyanka, Programme Coordinator, CEE Rajasthan, the workshop focused on “Sustainability and Water,” covering sustainable water management, student project planning, award guidelines, and ways to inspire environmental stewardship among young learners.

Thirteen Naval NCC cadets of MMPS participated in a Range Firing Exercise organised by 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC, Udaipur, at Eklinggarh Cantonment. The participating cadets—Swanik Jain, Divyraj Jain, Garv Dhabhai, Hitarth Dave, Krishna Pal Singh, Viraj Od, Bhavyanshi Dashora, Tejas Patel (Grade IX), Himanshu Boliwal and Devendra Jat (Grade X), Hardik Sikligar, Diyaan Jain, and Yash Jain (Grade IX)—received valuable practical exposure to marksmanship and safe weapon handling under expert supervision, enhancing their precision, confidence, discipline, and operational preparedness.

Twenty-six Air Wing JD/JW NCC cadets participated in an intensive Range Firing Practice organised by 6 Raj Air Sqn NCC at the Eklinggarh Cantonment Firing Range. Conducted under the supervision of Chief Officer Siddharth Singh Rathore, the training emphasised safe weapon handling, precision marksmanship, and range discipline, strengthening the cadets’ practical proficiency, confidence, and commitment to responsible service.

Mr. Brijesh Kumar Mishra, Commanding Officer, 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC, Udaipur, visited MMPS to conduct the enrolment process for the No. 1 Raj Naval NCC Junior Division Wing. The selection process comprised a written examination at the school followed by a physical fitness assessment at Khush Mahal, providing aspiring cadets with an opportunity to begin their journey of discipline, leadership, and service to the nation.

Maharana Mewar Public School organised a diverse series of Inter-House competitions, celebrating student excellence across academics, arts, innovation and technology. The line-up featured Science Toy Making, Poster Making, Nutri Drinks Making, Hindi Storytelling and Debate, Solo Dance, Scratch Software Game Creation, Character-Driven AI Storytelling, Show and Tell, Painting and Science Quiz competitions.

The achievers were felicitated for their exemplary performances during a special ceremony. The competitions provided a vibrant platform for students to demonstrate ingenuity, eloquence, artistic finesse and scientific acumen while reinforcing the values of healthy competition, collaboration and holistic development.
