Strengthening Minds, Building Healthier Futures

A workshop on “Mental Health, Well-being and Stress Management” was conducted at LT-5, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur for students from Medical, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Allied Healthcare disciplines.

The session was led by Dr. Jitendra Jeenger, HOD & Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur and Dr. Manu Sharma, Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital, Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The workshop focused on understanding the impact of stress on the mind, body and behaviour, especially among healthcare professionals. The speakers discussed common sources of stress, the importance of quality sleep, self-care and maintaining overall well-being while managing the demands of a healthcare career.

Participants learned practical approaches to handle everyday challenges, including:
✨ Building resilience
✨ Developing a growth mindset
✨ Managing perfectionism
✨ Practicing acceptance and mindfulness
✨ Focusing on what we can control, influence and let go

The session also introduced the Healthy Mind Platter as a simple approach to maintaining mental well-being and highlighted the importance of seeking professional support whenever needed.

The workshop concluded with an insightful discussion on happiness, self-care and creating a healthy balance between personal well-being and professional responsibilities.

National 7th Undergraduate Quiz 2026 | GMCH, Udaipur

Seven years of learning, curiosity and academic excellence — and this year, the journey reached the National Level! 🇮🇳✨

The Department of Community Medicine, Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Udaipur, successfully conducted the 7th edition of its Undergraduate Quiz on the theme “Together for Health, Stand with Science.”

The event brought together teams from 25 medical colleges across five states — Jharkhand, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan — creating a vibrant platform for undergraduate medical students to celebrate knowledge, scientific thinking and healthy competition.

🥇 First Position: University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), New Delhi
🥈 Second Position: Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Udaipur
🥉 Third Position: Sawai Man Singh Medical College (SMS Medical College), Jaipur

The results were announced by Dr. Mukul Dixit, Head, Department of Community Medicine.
