Bosco Academy of Music, Tura —a non-profit organisation affiliated to Trinity College, London and Associate Board of Royal School of Music, London that provides music education for children, youths and old folks of Garo Hills — is temporarily moving to a new place in Rongkhon, Tura.

The move to Rongkhon will provide students with a safe, centralised location to receive music instruction. Lessons will begin there on 12th of January 2021. However, Electric guitar and drum classes will be taken in Chandmari, Tura adjacent to municipal office for a time being.

Bosco Academy of Music, Tura is the only school in Meghalaya that provides scholarship yearly for music lessons—on any instrument, genre or skill level—to a diverse group of children who qualify for free or reduced school fees. Since BAM was founded in 2014, it has given free or reduced private lessons to more than 30 children in 5 years!

These students have successfully performed in Trinity exams and in band, choir or orchestra. For further details, contact the academy office. Thank You

Christmas Song Online Singing Competition!
We're calling all you awesome Christmas singers and the even more awesome people ready with a video camera to film it all. Christmas is the time of year where you can, quite literally, be merry and jolly. Anything goes, and so does the good ol' singalong sessions too. Whether you're one of those 'get the karaoke out on Christmas day' types or you're a 'play those Christmas songs and I'll sing along at the table' kind of person, we want to know about it. Sober or tipsy, brilliant or dazzling - we want to see them all!

Dear all, as a Solidarity Initiative during this pandemic crisis, we are providing the option for struggling parents and students by waiving the fees for up to three months, aside from no fee hike to recently Grade 3 and 5 (Trinity College London) passed students ,Scholarship for competition winners and waiver of theory class charges, which is a fair amount of savings for parents, so the amount to be paid comes down substantially and this way the parents can easily pay the music fees. Those who have financial problems should apply to the school management for the reduction/deferment/ option to pay the school fees.
