Our students recently had an enriching field visit to Asia’s largest Cocoon Market at Ramanagara, gaining first-hand exposure to one of India’s most significant silk hubs . During the visit, they interacted with cocoon farmers, reelers and officials from the Government Cocoon Market, Ramanagara and District Reelers Association, making the experience truly engaging and insightful.

Through these meaningful interactions, students understood the demand for silk 📈, the cocoon supply chain and the transparent e-auction process followed in the market. This real-world exposure bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry practices 📚 🏭, giving them a deeper perspective on the functioning of the silk industry.
