Chemical Engineering SIT Tumkur Department of Chemical Engineering, SIT. Tumkur The postgraduate programme was started in 1992 with an intake of 10 students. degree.

The Department of Chemical Engineering was started in 1974 with a mission of imparting technical knowledge and skills to the students to become technically sound, practical, self-sufficient Chemical Engineers. The Bangalore University and Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum have recognized this department as a centre for doing research work leading to Ph.D. This is the only institute,

which is offering P.G. course in Chemical Engineering among all the unaided colleges in Karnataka state. The postgraduates from our department are being well placed in various organizations & institutions.
