Nepal Muktinath Yatra Concludes with Divine Spiritual Experience

Our Nepal Muktinath Yatra was completed with a truly amazing spiritual experience. We witnessed three different seasons during the journey — the cold of Muktinath, the warmth of Kathmandu, and heavy rains in Janakpur.

The yatra began in Kathmandu with darshan of Sri Pashupatinath and the breathtaking Budhanilkantha, where Lord Narayana lies on the open waters of a pond. We also visited the beautiful ISKCON Kathmandu temple.

From Kathmandu, we undertook a long bus journey through the winding Himalayan Annapurna ranges and halted at Pokhara. Pokhara is a scenic hill station known for its expansive Phewa Lake. We then traveled by smaller vehicles and began our adventure towards Muktinath, situated thousands of meters above sea level.

Muktinath was extremely cold. Devotees had a profound spiritual experience bathing under the 108 freezing waterspouts. At Muktinath, we also witnessed Buddhist monks offering worship.

After returning, we spent a relaxing day in Pokhara, enjoying the hill station. We then had darshan of the sacred Gandaki River and Vyasadeva’s birthplace before heading to Janakpur, the holy place of Sita Mata.

In Janakpur, amidst heavy rains, we had darshan of the Janaki Mandir palace and the Shiva Dhanush broken by Lord Rama.

All 120 yatris felt highly blessed and inspired to make steady progress in spiritual life.

കാഠ്മണ്ഡുവിൽ ശ്രീ പശുപതിനാഥിന്റെ ദർശനവും, കുളത്തിന്റെ തുറന്ന വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഭഗവാൻ നാരായണൻ കിടക്കുന്ന ആശ്വാസകരമായ ബുദ്ധനിലകണ്ഠയും ദർശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് യാത്ര ആരംഭിച്ചത്. മനോഹരമായ ഇസ്‌കോൺ കാഠ്മണ്ഡു ക്ഷേത്രവും ഞങ്ങൾ സന്ദർശിച്ചു.
കാഠ്മണ്ഡുവിൽ നിന്ന്, വളഞ്ഞുപുളഞ്ഞ ഹിമാലയൻ അന്നപൂർണ്ണ പർവതനിരകളിലൂടെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരു നീണ്ട ബസ് യാത്ര നടത്തി, പൊഖരയിൽ നിർത്തി. വിശാലമായ ഫേവ തടാകത്തിന് പേരുകേട്ട ഒരു മനോഹരമായ കുന്നിൻ പ്രദേശമാണ് പൊഖര. തുടർന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ ചെറിയ വാഹനങ്ങളിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ച് സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മീറ്റർ ഉയരത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന മുക്തിനാഥിലേക്കുള്ള ഞങ്ങളുടെ സാഹസിക യാത്ര ആരംഭിച്ചു. മുക്തിനാഥ് അത്യധികം തണുപ്പായിരുന്നു. തണുത്തുറഞ്ഞ 108 ജലാശയങ്ങൾക്ക് കീഴിൽ കുളിക്കുന്ന ഭക്തർക്ക് അഗാധമായ ആത്മീയാനുഭവം ലഭിച്ചു. മുക്തിനാഥിൽ, ബുദ്ധ സന്യാസിമാർ ആരാധന നടത്തുന്നത് ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു.
തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ ശേഷം, ഞങ്ങൾ പൊഖറയിൽ ഒരു വിശ്രമ ദിവസം ചെലവഴിച്ചു, കുന്നിൻ പ്രദേശം ആസ്വദിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ പുണ്യ ഗണ്ഡകി നദിയും വ്യാസദേവന്റെ ജന്മസ്ഥലവും ദർശിച്ചു, തുടർന്ന് സീതാമാതാവിന്റെ പുണ്യസ്ഥലമായ ജനക്പൂരിലേക്ക് പോയി.

ജനക്പൂരിൽ, കനത്ത മഴയ്ക്കിടയിൽ, ജാനകി മന്ദിർ കൊട്ടാരത്തിന്റെയും ശ്രീരാമൻ തകർത്ത ശിവ ധനുഷിന്റെയും ദർശനം നടത്തി.

120 യാത്രികരും അത്യധികം അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതായും ആത്മീയ ജീവിതത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരമായ പുരോഗതി കൈവരിക്കാൻ പ്രചോദനം ലഭിച്ചതായും അനുഭവിച്ചു.

HH Bhakti Vinoda Swami Maharaj made a brief visit to our Changanur property recently. During the visit, Maharaj held detailed discussions with His Grace Atichandra Prabhu regarding future plans and encouraged him to commence the work at the earliest.

Following the site visit, Maharaj conducted a satsang with the Changanur devotees and blessed the project.

Akshaya Tritiya and Beginning of Chandan Seva

Today is Akshaya Tritiya and also the first day of Chandan Seva. Sri Sri Krishna Balarama were decorated with sandalwood paste.

From today, and for the next twenty-one days, Sri Sri Krishna Balarama will be covered with sandalwood paste. The Lord is very pleased and blesses all devotees who render this service.

As today is Akshaya Tritiya, the day of giving, we request devotees to offer donations in service for the pleasure of Sri Sri Krishna Balarama. Even service as small as the squirrel’s contribution is greatly appreciated by the Lord.
