ALOHA! Organized by the juniors as a heartfelt tribute to our MSW 2023-25 batch, was more than a farewell, it was a celebration of the bonds, memories, and values that make the Loyola family so special. Dear seniors, your journey from enthusiastic individuals to committed professional social workers has been truly inspiring. Your final performance in the classroom where it all began was more than nostalgic, it symbolized your growth, unity, and purpose. Through street theatre and flash mobs, from Trivandrum to Karnataka, and even Nepal, you’ve taken your learning beyond the classroom, raising awareness and touching lives. You have truly lived the Jesuit value of Magis, becoming change-makers and men and women for others. We are immensely proud of you. As a member of the Department of Social Work, it has been a joy and privilege to walk this journey with you. Go forth with courage, compassion, and conviction. And always be assured of our love. Even if we may not walk as closely as before, our journey continues—and you will always have a space in our hearts. Count on us, whenever you need. Love you all.

MAGIS 2025, a five-day summer camp at Holy Spirit Church, Mampally, brought together 210 children for a vibrant learning experience. Led by 10 MSW 1st-year students from Loyola College of Social Sciences, the camp focused on life skills and healthy digital habits.

Sessions were based on WHO’s ten core life skills, including self-awareness, empathy, and decision-making, with interactive, practical activities reflecting children’s daily lives. Meditation, action songs, and scriptwriting offered relaxation and creative expression.

A highlight was a stage production of the Exodus story, initiated by Rev. Fr. Justin Judin, linking the Vocation Faith Fest (VFF) theme—Faith and theme of the parish - Education—to life skills and screen use. Children engaged deeply by reading, interpreting, and performing the story.

Other events included a cycle rally, Food Fest, and valedictory celebration with music and dance.

Special thanks to Fr. Judin, catechism teachers, parishioners, host families, and the Medical Mission Sisters for their generous support.
