তিতাবৰৰ ঐতিহ্যমণ্ডিত পি.এম. শ্ৰী মিহিৰাম শইকীয়া উচ্চতৰ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ৰ ইংৰাজী বিষয়ৰ জ্যেষ্ঠ শিক্ষক ইমতিয়াজ হুছেইন ছাৰৰ আজি শিক্ষকতা জীৱনৰ শেষ কৰ্মদিন। ১৯৯২ চনৰ ১২ মাৰ্চত যোগদান কৰাৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে সুদীৰ্ঘ ৩৪ বছৰ তেখেতে এইখন বিদ্যালয়তে নিষ্ঠাৰে সেৱা আগবঢ়ালে। এই সুদীৰ্ঘ সময়ছোৱাত তেখেতে ১০ হাজাৰতকৈও অধিক ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীক জ্ঞানৰ পোহৰ বিলালে।
বিদ্যালয়খনৰ সৈতে ছাৰৰ সম্পৰ্ক আছিল অতি নিবিড়। ১৯৭২ চনৰ পৰা ১৯৮২ চনলৈ এই বিদ্যালয়ৰে এজন কৃতী ছাত্ৰ আৰু পৰৱৰ্তী সময়ত ইয়াৰে নিষ্ঠাবান শিক্ষক হৈছিল। বিদ্যালয়খনৰ কাষতেই ঘৰ হোৱা বাবে ইয়াৰ মাটি-পানীৰ সৈতে তেখেতৰ এক আত্মিক সম্পৰ্ক আছিল।
আজি এই বিদায় বেলাত তেখেতে গভীৰ কৃতজ্ঞতাৰে সোঁৱৰণ কৰিছে তদানিন্তন অধ্যক্ষ শ্ৰদ্ধাৰ শ্বেইখ আব্দুৰ ৰহমান ছাৰক, কাৰণ তেখেতৰ দিনতে ইংৰাজী বিষয়ৰ শিক্ষক হিচাপে তেখেতে নিযুক্তি পাইছিল। লগতে তেখেতে ছাত্ৰ অৱস্থাত পোৱা আৰু পিছলৈ সহকৰ্মী হিচাপে পোৱা মহান শিক্ষকসকলৰ পবিত্ৰ স্মৃতিত শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি জ্ঞাপন কৰিছে।
কেৱল কৰ্তব্য পালন কৰাই নহয়, বিদ্যালয়খনৰ সংকটকালত যেতিয়া ছাত্ৰৰ সংখ্যা হ্ৰাস পাইছিল, তেতিয়া ইয়াক সহ-শিক্ষালৈ ৰূপান্তৰ কৰাৰ সাহস দিবলৈ ছাৰে নিজৰ ছোৱালীকে ব্যক্তিগত বিদ্যালয়ৰ পৰা আনি ইয়াত নাম লগাই দিছিল। ইয়াৰ উপৰিও বাৰ্ষিক আলোচনী 'মুকুল'ৰ দীৰ্ঘদিনীয়া উপদেষ্টা হিচাপে কৰা কাম, ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীৰ প্ৰাতঃসভাৰ কষ্ট দূৰ কৰিবলৈ তিতাবৰ অঞ্চলৰ সমাজকৰ্মী নবাব হাৰুণ গণিৰ জৰিয়তে পকী মুকলি গৃহ নিৰ্মাণ কৰোৱা, আৰু বিদ্যালয়ৰ ইতিহাস উদ্ধাৰৰ বাবে তেখেতে বহুখিনি অৱদান আগবঢ়াইছিল।
সুদীৰ্ঘ কৰ্মজীৱনৰ পৰা বিৰতি লোৱাৰ এই ক্ষণত ছাৰে তেখেতৰ যাত্ৰাপথত অজানিতে হোৱা ভুল-ত্ৰুটিৰ বাবে সকলোৰে ওচৰত ক্ষমা প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিছে। চৰকাৰী নিয়মানুসৰি চলিত বৰ্ষৰ মে' মাহৰ একত্ৰিছ তাৰিখলৈকে তেখেতৰ নিযুক্তি বাহাল থাকিব যদিও সেইটো দেওবাৰ হোৱা হেতুকে বিদ্যালয়ত আজিয়েই তেখেতৰ শেষ কৰ্মদিন। সেয়েহে বিদ্যালয়ৰ শিক্ষকৰ জিৰণিকোঠাত অধ্যক্ষ শ্ৰীযুত সঞ্জয় কুমাৰ পাণ্ডে'ৰ সভাপতিত্বত এখনি চাহমেলৰ আয়োজনেৰে তেখেতক আপ্যায়িত কৰা হয়।
