In times of disaster, humanity shines brightest through compassion and service.

A Flood Relief Camp was successfully organized on 28 July 2026 by Assam Nursing Institute and Assam Pharmacy Institute, Titabor, Jorhat, to support families affected by the recent floods.

The relief team visited the flood-affected areas of Lukhurakhon (Selenghat), Japihojiya (Amguri), and Bonai (Teok) to provide essential relief materials to the affected people.

During the camp, mosquito nets, bedsheets, sanitary pads, clothes and essential medicines were distributed to help improve the living conditions and promote the health and well-being of the flood victims.

The initiative reflected the commitment of the faculty and students of both institutes towards humanitarian service and community welfare.
The programme was successfully carried out with the active participation and dedication of the volunteers, making it a meaningful effort to serve the community in need.

A Flood Relief Medical Camp was successfully organized by Assam Nursing Institute and Assam Pharmacy Institute, Titabor, Jorhat in collaboration with Madhu Dibya Foundation on 21st July, 2026 for people affected by the recent floods in the Panbari TE, Titabor with the aim of providing essential healthcare and support to the community.

The camp included the distribution of sanitary pads, essential medicines and free health check-ups, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature monitoring.

This humanitarian initiative was organised with the shared commitment to serve the community and support flood-affected families during this difficult time.

Assam Nursing Institute, Titabor organized "Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony" on 29th May, 2026 for the GNM and ANM 1st year students of the Institute.

Renowned Medical Officer Dr. Biru Borkakoti, Chief Executive Member of Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council Mr. Kumud Chandra Kachari were present as chief guests along with Mrs. Kalpana Buragohain, Principal of School of Nursing, Jorhat; and Dr. Mousumi Boruah, Medical and Health Officer of Tipomia State Dispensary.

Lamp Lighting, Welcome song, Felicitation to the guests and a beautiful dance were done by the Principal, Nursing Tutors of Assam Nursing Institute, Titabor; chief guests and the students.

Following the Welcome session, Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking was successfully done and Chief guests also shared some motivational words to the students.

An Awareness Program on the occasion of World No To***co Day, 2026 themed "Unmasking the appeal - to***co does not always come with smoke" was organized by Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), Jorhat in collaboration with District To***co Control Cell (DTCC) and Assam Nursing Institute, Titabor, Jorhat on 29th May, 2026.

Renowned consultant and Senior Medical Officer of ACCF, Jorhat and SHRC, Dr. Bihaari Agarwal was present as a chief guest along@ with Dipti Saikia, Counsellor, DTCC; Manoshi Goswami, Zonal Coordinator, ACCF; Sushmita Chakrabortty, District Coordinator, ACCF and Staff nurses of ACCF.

Felicitation to the guests were done by the Principal and Nursing Tutors of Assam Nursing Institute, Titabor followed by a lecture and discussion session on "To***co Burden and Cancer" by Dr. Bihaari Agarwal and a speech was given by Dipti Saikia on "Importance of counselling for cessation of to***co use".

Following the lecture session, a quick Quiz Competition and a Poster Competition was conducted among the students of Assam Nursing Institute, Titabor and prizes & certificates were distributed to the winners.
