SKP Vanitha International School is privileged and honoured to celebrate 80th Independence Day on 15.08.2026 (Saturday) at SKPVIS. Mrs. Indra Leela.S, Principal of SKP Vanitha International School hoisted the national flag and delivered the inspirational speech.
One nation, one vision, one mission, one identity freedom in mind, faith in our heart, memories in our souls. Let us salute the nation on Independence Day. Let us celebrate the vibrant spirit of India today.
Independence day is a reminder of the values of democray justice and equality enshrined in the constitution. Independence day is not a commemoration of liberation from colonial rule. It is a tribute to the sacrifices of countless martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s sovereignty. Celebration enchoing the spirit of Viksit Bharat the theme reflect the vision of a progressive, inclusive and empowered India by becoming a developed nation.
This day reminds us of the sacrifices and courage of men and women who took to free our country from slavery. We pay tribute to those freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the sake of their mother land. We pay respect to those who made it a free nation to generation to come.

Students participated in fancy dress, creative art, Tri colour vegetable carvings patriotic leaders enaching, patriotic dance and Tableau. Participants from Grade 3 to 12. Everyone participated in the events prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.
Master of ceremony was Devashree and Master.Sai Harshan of Grade 10.
Mrs. Hasina K.G Primary co-ordinary was the prize distribution incharge. Master veer delivered the vote of thanks K.Tharunika and A.K.Absara of Grade 8 delivered the English Speech. Harshika, Ponmozhi and Thingalarasi of Grade 7 delivered speech in Tamil.

SKPVIS is extremely delightful to organize educational tour from grade 8 to 12 on 22.07.2026 (Wednesday) to 25.07.2026 (Saturday) to cochin and Vagamon in Kerala.

Students visited Wonderla Kochi on 23-07-2026 water rides high safety standards key benefits includes high –trill roller coasters like recoll, refreshing parks with wave pools. India’s first reverse looping roller coaster. Equinox 360 spinned us around on a 360 degree giant pendulum.
Students enjoyed artificial sea waves certified safety standards with trained operators and lifeguards at every pool on 23.7.2026(Thursday) students visited sunrise in Kochi offered profound benefits like , reduced stress and boosted mood by resetting our body clock with natural conservation.
Students visited LULU International shopping mall in Kochi provided a massive all in one retail experience, featuring over 360 global and local brands, a huge multi level hyper market and direct metro connectivity students witnessed variety of retail, groceries, massive food court, fun zones, easy travel and clean facilities.
On 25.7.2026(Friday) students travelled to Vagamon for jeep safari thrilling off-road access to remote peaks, panoramic mountain views and deep exploration of local natural destination .
Students experienced deep off road access navigated steep muddy trails, rocky slopes and deep forest tracks leading to remote spots like the Uluppuni tunnel and high view points. Delicious meals and comfortable accommodations were provided during the excursion.

A spirit of unity and dynamism filled in the air as the investiture ceremony commenced with invocation of prayer. Spectacular welcome dance, performed by Sri Amirtha of Grade 10 and Samiksha of Grade 7 followed by House March past. Master.HARIPRIYAN of Grade 12 welcomed the distinguished guest of honor Mr.selvakumar and the dignitaries, A great visionary leader Respected Er.K.Karunanithi, Chairman of SKP Group of Institutions, An eminent educationalist Mr.K.V.Arangasamy, Joint Secretary, A contemporary thinker and an innovator Dr.R.Sakthi Krishnan CEO, SKP Group of Institution. and Mrs.Indra Leela principal of SKPVIS. As a district inspector of Physical education he leads the sports and fitness programs for schools of Tiruvannamalai district. The election for the students council was held at SKPVIS on 10.07.2026 (Friday) in the academic year 2026-2027.. The objective of appointing the student council is to provide a platform to the
students to develop leadership qualities by organizing and carrying out school
activities and service projects. In the preliminary round candidates who had
filed nominations were asked to give three minutes speech to present their
case on why they should be elected for the posts they had stood for. E- Voting
was done by the students in the form of G – sheet. Election committee
members were Mrs.Krishnaveni.R., P.E.T., MR.THAMIZH INIYAN.R, P.E.T., (Department of Physical Education) and supportive staff in the event of election procedures, system admin were Mrs.Illiyaraja and Mr.Janeior. Mrs. Indraleela, Principal of SKPVIS (CBSE) co-ordinated with the election committee. Students contested for head boy, head girl sports captain, house captains and vice – captain.
The objectives of the student’s council:
1. The purpose of the students council is to give an opportunity to develop
leadership, carrying out activities and service projects.
2. Create an environment where every students can voice out their concern and
need.
3. The students council is the voice of the student body.
4. Candidates who had filed nominations were asked to give three minutes speech
to present their case on why they should be elected the posts they had stood for.
5. Followed by students voting.
6. Candidates will be selected on the virtue of their merit as per the requirement of the selection criteria
7. The selection criteria includes parameters such as excellence in academics,
Sports.
8. Elected students will be conferred designation badges in the investiture
ceremony in the academic year 2026-2027.
9. Students council promote citizenship, leadership. Human relations and cultural
values.
School SPL & ASPL responsibilities:
School head boy and head girls are usually responsible for representing the
school events and make public speeches and serve as a role model for
students and share pupils ideas with the school’s leadership. SPL, ASPL,
expected to lead fellow prefects in their duties.
Qualities of school head boy and head girl:
1. Leadership
2. Time – Management and organizational skills.
3. Ability to talk confidently and appropriately to parents, students and staff.
4. Politeness, maturity, clear judgment responsibility and reliability.
House captains responsibility:
Sustaining the spirit of the house and bidding fellow students to maintain
discipline during house activity. Seeking guidance from the house in charges and
reporting to him/her house captain requires positive, leadership skills, strong
school spirit, good organization, a caring and fair attitude and being a role model.

Sports captain responsibilities:
Sports captains are responsible for assisting with sports clubs, sports captains
are expected to perform in the clutch and lead the team in victory. Captains will maintain control in the most pressurized situations and be the role model of excellence for their team mates.
Student’s council election procedures:
1. Create a campaign logo

3. Net work with other students to reach more
4. Create a winning presentation decide the position you want to run.

NUTRITION DAY CELEBRATION – 2026-27
Dear parents & students,
Greetings from SKPVIS!
SKPVIS organized Nutrition day celebration on 03.07.2026 (Friday) for Pre-KG, LKG & UKG. Cooking without Fire diet offers numerous benefits for health and the environment. It can reduce the risk of chronic diseases support weight management and promote improved health.
Students prepared nutrition diet, vegan diet as follows whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, peas, nuts and seeds. A vegan diet have several benefits, such as helping you lose excess weight, lowering the risk of diabetes, improving kidney function and lowering blood sugar levels.
Celebrating Nutrition Day promotes community health awareness about preventing malnutrition and chronic diseases and encourages the adoption of balanced, evidence based diets. The essential nutrients values as follows carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber and water. These components work together to provide energy, build and repair tissues and regulates vital energy to physical and mental health. Students brought healthy fruits, vegetables nd sprouts. Pre-KG, LKG and UKG were dressed in red, green and brown colour dress. Children have done fruit salad, Vegetable salad and sprouts. And shared with Principal, teaching staff , administration staff, Attenders and with their friends .Mrs.Indra Leela, Principal of SKPVIS (CBSE) delivered the inspirational speech on the topic nutrition’s facts.
Skpvians learnt.
The Ethical consideration, environmental concerns, health benefits, veganism as a life style. Students learnt how to manage diabetes by lowering A/C levels and reduce risk of heart disease, by lowering cholesterol levels, lower chances of getting certain types of cancer, such as colon cancer. SKPVIS is extremely delightful to organize doctors day celebration on 01.07.2026 (Wednesday). Dr.Kumaresan Duraisamy & Dr.Vanitha Kumaresan were the chief guest of the event. The doctors day celebration started with the lighting of the lamb. The distinguished guest of honour delivered the inspirational speech on the topic nutritious facts and physical health. Mrs.Indra Leela delivered the inspirational speech about physical fitness Mrs.M.Rosalin Hemakumari, Senior Secondary co-ordinator and Mrs.Hasina, primary co-ordinator felicited the chief guest of honour with the momento keethana and Zarah of Grade 6 were the master of ceremony. Master Ishan of grade 9 delivered the welcome address. Jina of grade 6 delivered the vote of the thanks.
