INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION – 2026- 27

SKP Vanitha International School is privileged and honoured to celebrate 80th Independence Day on 15.08.2026 (Saturday) at SKPVIS. Mrs. Indra Leela.S, Principal of SKP Vanitha International School hoisted the national flag and delivered the inspirational speech.
One nation, one vision, one mission, one identity freedom in mind, faith in our heart, memories in our souls. Let us salute the nation on Independence Day. Let us celebrate the vibrant spirit of India today.
Independence day is a reminder of the values of democray justice and equality enshrined in the constitution. Independence day is not a commemoration of liberation from colonial rule. It is a tribute to the sacrifices of countless martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s sovereignty. Celebration enchoing the spirit of Viksit Bharat the theme reflect the vision of a progressive, inclusive and empowered India by becoming a developed nation.
This day reminds us of the sacrifices and courage of men and women who took to free our country from slavery. We pay tribute to those freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the sake of their mother land. We pay respect to those who made it a free nation to generation to come.
Freedom is our birth right let us cherish it!
Creative craft using the Indian National Flag colours saffron, white and green offer memoryful development education and emotional benefits. These hands on activities foster patriotism enhance fine motor skills and stimulate cognitive growth through colour recognition and symbolic story telling.
Creative art craft enhances symbolic understanding, colour pattern recognition, cultural awareness, fine motor dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination and symmetry and geometry.
Tri colour vegetable carving three distinct coloured produce items like orange, carrots, white radish and green cucumbers. They promote healthy eating diverse mix of plant nutrients encourage mindful creativity and elevate table presentation for special patriotic events. Tri colour vegetable carvings depict diverse nutrients, mindful focus, stress relief cultural and festive expression elevated aesthetics and reduction awareness.
Patriotic leaders portraying through school plays, community events and cultural events fosters national pride teaches vividly builds public speaking skills and inspires moral characters by personifying the courage unity and sacrifices of historic figures.
Patriotic dances combine physical movement with national pride offering deep cultural, emotional and health benefits. They foster unity, preserve heritage and improve physical fitness through expressive and energetic choreography.
Displaying Independence Day tableau offers strong education, cultural and community benefits. They promote national pride, high light regional achievements, preserve local heritage and educate the public on social welfare schemes or developmental milestones through creative visual story telling. The benefits of National and state tableau depicts cultural preservation fosters unity and incentivizes progress.

Students participated in fancy dress, creative art, Tri colour vegetable carvings patriotic leaders enaching, patriotic dance and Tableau. Participants from Grade 3 to 12. Everyone participated in the events prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.
Master of ceremony was Devashree and Master.Sai Harshan of Grade 10.
Mrs. Hasina K.G Primary co-ordinary was the prize distribution incharge. Master veer delivered the vote of thanks K.Tharunika and A.K.Absara of Grade 8 delivered the English Speech. Harshika, Ponmozhi and Thingalarasi of Grade 7 delivered speech in Tamil.
