There is so much children can consume today. We hope they also remember what they can create.

Sometimes the most meaningful learning isn’t a new activity, framework, or teaching tool. It is a shift in perspective.

The Sangam Conference was a beautiful reminder that education begins with presence: how we observe, respond, and hold space for each child.

Grateful for the learning, reflection, and community shared with Waldorf educators at Sangam, hosted by Yellow Train, Coimbatore.

I know this might sound different.

But I’m not trying to raise the “best” child.

Not the fastest.
Not the smartest.
Not the one who gets there first.

Because the more I observe my child,
the more I realise early childhood is not meant to feel like a race.

It’s meant to feel like play, curiosity, imagination…
and a natural rhythm of learning.

But somewhere between school expectations, milestones, and comparison,
that slowly begins to shift.

At Lokhaa Waldorf School, we choose a different approach one that supports holistic child development, gentle learning, and a more conscious way of parenting.

Last night, a parent told me something we hear all the time at Lokhaa…

“My child just won’t sleep.”

So we asked one simple question:
“What does the hour before bed look like?”

The answer was familiar…
