Annual Sports Meet –“LUDUS -2024”
Sports is the celebration of the human spirit and youth, it not only inspires young minds but also teaches good values and ethics to young students.
KMC public Senior Secondary School, Perumanallur celebrated its 16th Annual sports day “LUDUS -2024” on 31st August 2024, amidst great enthusiasm and camaraderie.
The special guest invited to the event was Shri.S.Kanagasababathy, Public Prosecutor, Tiruppur. The Guest of honour Shri. M.Vasanthakumar ,Inspector of Police, Perumanallur presided over the event.
Thiru.K.C.Shanmugam Ayya, Chairman, Honorary Trustees, Mr.C.S.Manoharan, Correspondent, Miss Swasthika M, CEO, Dr.T.Srinivasan, Principal, KMC Public School members of the Student organizing committee, and a large gathering of parents with their children were present to witness the grand event.
The Chairman Ayya, Correspondent, CEO and Principal greeted guests and dignitaries with flowers and formal greetings and gave a brief report on the school’s sports activities and student achievements.
The event had its grand opening with the hoisting of the National Flag, Sports Flag, School Flag and declaration of the Meet Open by the Special Guest Shri. The Guest of honour Shri. M.Vasanthakumar, Shri.S.Kanagasababathy, Public Prosecutor, Tiruppur Inspector of Police, Perumanallur followed by the lighting of the Olympic Torch by the Special Guest. The event opened with a glorious and well-synchronized March past with a contingent of Four Senior and middle wing dorms that leaves parental viewers speechless and awed.
The most entertaining and fascinating part of the event was the field display involving mass student participation which sprinkled on the field, an extravaganza of colors and vibrance, was just wonderful to experience. There were vivid field displays alternated by energetic track events by Grade I to XII students.
Mr.C.S.Manoharan, Correspondent and Dr.T.Srinivasan, Principal gave a wonderful speech. The Special guest insisted the importance of Education and motivating students to show passion on Education, increasing self-confidence, lifelong learning, finding individual skills and importance of sports activities. The Guest of honour gave an inspiring, thought provoking speech about the importance of Sports and the benefits of physical exercises.
The award ceremony came after all these events-medals, trophies, and certificates were awarded to the achievers of the various events. The MENELAOS House was awarded for the best March Past performance and the overall Best House in sports events. Parents game was conducted to encourage the parents.
At the closing ceremony, the school was declared closed, and after a slow march by the athletic committee, the school flag was handed over to the CEO. The blazing flame that hit the retreat and was then put to rest. What we witnessed was surreal and it was a very memorable day for all the teachers, administrators, and students who made the program very special.
