*వందేమాతరం బిల్లుకు రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపదీ ముర్ము ఆమోదం తెలిపారు. దాంతో బిల్లు చట్టంగా మారనుంది*. ఈ చట్టం ప్రకారం జాతీయ చిహ్నాలను అవమానించడం నేరం. మూడేళ్ల వరకు జైలు శిక్ష పడుతుంది. జాతీయ గేయాన్ని పాడకుండా అడ్డుకున్నా, అవమానించినా నేరంగా పరిగణిస్తారు.

*ఎర్రకోటపై తొలిసారి 'వందేమాతరం'*

స్వాతంత్ర్య దినోత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా ఆగస్టు 15న తొలిసారిగా ఢిల్లీలోని ఎర్రకోటపై జాతీయ గీతానికి ముందు 'వందేమాతరం' గేయాన్ని ఆలపించనున్నారు. వందేమాతరానికి 150 ఏళ్లు పూర్తయిన సందర్భంగా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. పీఎం మోదీ ఎర్రకోట వద్దకు రాగానే వందేమాతరం ఆలపిస్తారని, అనంతరం జాతీయ జెండా ఆవిష్కరణ తర్వాత 'జనగణమన' గీతాన్ని ఆలపిస్తారని వెల్లడించారు.
