We are pleased to share that Foundry 4.0 Student Activity Center (F4SAC), Department of Mechanical Engg, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati jointly with Indian Institute of Foundrymen (IIF) Chennai Chapter is organizing Foundry 4.0 Innovation Workshop and Foundry Visit on 24th February 2023 and 25th February 2023 at IIT Tirupati.

It is our pleasure to announce the launch of 29' PFAM 2023, an International Conference, and the Twenty-Ninth in a series, on the topic PROCESSING AND FABRICATION OF ADVANCED MATERIALS (PFAM). The venue for the monumental scholarly conference will be the city of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh India and the event will take place during 6 - 8 September, 2023. Foundry 4.0 Student Activity Center (F4SAC) in association with Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) has been inaugurated by Prof. K. N. Satyanarayana, Director IIT Tirupati in presence of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Faculty Coordinator, F4SAC, IIT Tirupati; Dr.
A Madan Mohan, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering, IIT Tirupati; Dr E Anil Kumar, Dean SRC, IIT Tirupati; and IIF office bearers (Mr. K. Dayalan, Chairman IIF Southern Region; Mr. P. Venkatesan, Chairman IIF Chennai Chapter; and Mr. R.A. Prasad, Chairman IIF Andhra Chapter) at IIT Tirupati on 9th October 2021.
During the Inauguration, Prof K. N. Satyanarayana, Director IIT Tirupati explained the need and importance of Industry-Institute Interaction and the role of F4SAC in producing experts in the field of Foundry for the Indian industry. About 30 Ferrous, Non-Ferrous casting industries participated in this event including M/s Ashok Leyland Ltd., M/s Ashley Alteams India Ltd., M/s Haste Alloy India Limited, M/s Srikalahasti Pipes, M/s Sibar Autoparts ltd and M/s AGM Nelcast Ltd. Later, the Industrial representatives shared their thoughts on recent trends in CI & SG Iron manufacturing, Al and steel casting and expressed interest to extend their support to IIT Tirupati through Internship, Placements and Research collaboration.
