As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility and community service, our ECO Club students undertook a meaningful cleaning activity at Sorrimuthu Ayyanar Temple, along the banks of the beautiful Thamirabarani River. 🌱💚

Every year, on the occasion of Aadi Ammavasai, nearly one lakh devotees gather at this sacred destination to offer their prayers. Understanding the importance of keeping this ecologically sensitive and spiritually significant place clean, our students joined hands with Mr. Cricket Moorthy and his team to clean the entire campus surrounding the Thamirabarani River.

The activity was more than just cleaning—it was a lesson in responsibility, teamwork, environmental stewardship and service to society. Our young eco-warriors actively contributed to preserving the beauty of this cherished natural and cultural heritage. 🌏✨

Muthamil Public School was privileged to welcome the Tamil Nadu Police – Singapen Special Force for an insightful Women & Girls Safety Awareness Programme.
The Singapen Special Force is a dedicated initiative of the Tamil Nadu Police aimed at strengthening the safety and security of women and children through preventive policing, public awareness and rapid assistance. (Singapen)
During the session, our girl students were sensitised on important aspects of personal safety, including:
🛡️ Personal Safety & Situational Awareness
🚨 Recognising and Responding to Unsafe Situations
📢 Speaking Up Against Harassment and Abuse
📱 Cyber Safety & Responsible Use of Social Media
👮‍♀️ Approaching the Police and Reporting Incidents
💪 Building Confidence, Courage and Self-Protection
The interaction helped our students understand that safety begins with awareness and that they should never hesitate to seek help or report situations that make them feel unsafe.
A special emphasis was also placed on knowing how to seek immediate assistance. The Singapen Special Force has been assigned the 1091 women’s helpline, integrated with the 112 emergency response system for faster assistance. (The New Indian Express)

🌊 **Learning Beyond the Classroom | Grade VIII Educational Field Trip** 🚰

Our Grade VIII students had an enriching educational visit to the **TWAD Board Water Treatment Plant, Singikulam**, where they gained first-hand knowledge about the journey of drinking water from its source to our homes.

The visit began at the **TWAD Board Water Pumping Station, Muneerpallam**, where students observed how raw water is drawn from the river and pumped to the treatment facility. They then proceeded to the **Singikulam Water Treatment Plant** to understand the complete purification process.

A special note of gratitude to **Mr. Raju, Assistant Divisional Engineer, TWAD Board**, who provided an insightful explanation of every stage of the water supply system. He clearly demonstrated the processes of water intake, pumping, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, storage, and distribution, helping students understand the science and engineering behind safe drinking water.

The visit transformed textbook concepts into real-life experiences, inspiring students to appreciate the importance of water conservation, public infrastructure, and environmental responsibility.

We sincerely thank the **TWAD Board** and **Mr. Raju** for their warm hospitality and valuable guidance in making this educational trip a memorable learning experience.

🚓📮 Tiny Explorers, Big Discoveries! 👧👦✨

At Muthamil Public School, learning goes beyond the classroom! As part of the Muthamil Educational System, our Kindergarten students enjoyed an exciting educational field trip to the Palayamkottai Head Post Office and Muneerpallam Police Station.

📮 At the Head Post Office, our little learners discovered how letters and parcels are handled and delivered. The highlight of the visit was when each child received a postcard and personally posted it into the post box, making their first postal experience both fun and memorable.

🚓 At Muneerpallam Police Station, the Sub-Inspector warmly welcomed our students and introduced them to the different departments of the police, police vehicles and equipment, child safety, and the importance of remembering that "Police are Our Friends."

The trip was filled with curiosity, excitement, and joyful learning. These real-life experiences help children develop confidence, awareness, and a better understanding of the community around them.

A heartfelt thank you to the officials of Palayamkottai Head Post Office and Muneerpallam Police Station for making this visit educational and unforgettable for our little learners.

Our students explored various sports facilities and learned about different games, the layout of sports courts, and the basic rules of each game under the guidance of experienced coaches. The visit encouraged teamwork, discipline, and a deeper appreciation for sports and physical fitness.

🏛️ Porunai Museum
The journey continued to the Porunai Museum, where students discovered the rich heritage of Tamil Nadu and explored the fascinating 3,200-year-old Porunai (Thamirabarani) Civilization. Through engaging exhibits and artifacts, they gained valuable insights into the history, culture, and archaeological significance of our region—making them proud of Tirunelveli's glorious legacy.

🌿 A Sweet Birthday with a Meaningful Message! 🌿

At Muthamil Public School, birthdays are not just about celebrations—they are opportunities to inspire healthy habits and environmental responsibility.

Today, ISHMITA R of Grade VI celebrated her birthday in a unique and thoughtful way. Instead of distributing chocolates and plastic-wrapped sweets, she shared traditional, healthy millet laddus with her classmates.

She brought different varieties of laddus made from:
✨ சாமை (Little Millet)
✨ பொறிகடலை (Roasted Gram)
✨ வேர்க்கடலை (Groundnut)
✨ தேன்திணை (Honey Foxtail Millet)

What made the celebration even more special was that Ishmita confidently introduced each variety of laddu and explained its name to her friends, encouraging everyone to appreciate our traditional and nutritious foods.
