It recognizes the hard work and achievements of workers in all fields.

It reminds us of the importance of unity among workers (labour solidarity).
It highlights the need for dignity and respect in every job.
It creates awareness about ongoing labour issues.
Historical reason:
The day is linked to the Haymarket Affair in the Chicago, where workers protested for an 8-hour workday.
This movement became a symbol of workers’ struggle worldwide.

On 25.04.26, IIP LAXMI RAMAN GLOBAL SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CBSE successfully conducted a World Tuberculosis Day Awareness Program to educate and inspire students about the prevention and eradication of TB.
The program featured an awareness speech by our respected Principal, highlighting the importance of early detection, proper treatment, and social responsibility. This was followed by special speeches delivered by our students, who shared valuable information and messages to create awareness among their peers.
As a mark of commitment, students and staff took a pledge to support efforts towards the eradication of tuberculosis and to spread awareness in society.
Together, let us work towards a TB-free future.

Today was a memorable and enriching day for our students! 🌿 🏺

​Students of IIP LAXMI RAMAN GLOBAL SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CBSE, TIRUNELVELI, from KG to Class 12, visited the Porunai (Tamiraparani) Museum to explore the fascinating world of archaeological excavations and to understand the ancient Tamil culture, traditions, and civilisation.

​Through this educational visit, our students learned about:

​Ancient Tamil life along the Porunai (Tamiraparani) River

​Archaeological findings such as pottery, tools, inscriptions, and artifacts

​Sangam-era culture, traditions, and heritage

​The importance of preserving our historical legacy

The Mock Assembly Election conducted at IIP LAXMI RAMAN GLOBAL SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CBSE, Tirunelveli, provided students with a real-time experience of the democratic process. Students actively took part as candidates, voters, and election officials, learning about nominations, campaigning, voting, and result declaration.
