Stringing Together🎸 was an inspiring experience filled with music, stories, and powerful life lessons. We were honoured to welcome Dr. Benny Prasad, world record holder, inventor of the world’s first Bongo Guitar, and the fastest person to visit all 245 countries. 🌍

Through his remarkable life journey, Dr. Benny reminded our students that knowledge can be found anywhere, but character is built through learning, experiences, and the choices we make. His story of overcoming one of the darkest chapters of his life and going on to achieve a world record was a powerful reminder of how hope can take us places we never imagined.

Dr. Benny’s words encouraged students to embrace their uniqueness, look beyond the opinions of others, and understand that their present circumstances do not have to define their future. The students also had the privilege of interacting with him, asking curious questions, and seeking his advice and guidance.

Grade 10 C & D students hosted an inspiring assembly program on the theme of Fit India, aimed at promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle. The event featured engaging activities, including Tamil Thai Vazhathu ,Bible reading, welcome speeches. The students showcased an impressive Drama highlighting keeping the body fit.The program emphasized the importance of physical and mental fitness, encouraging everyone to prioritize health in their daily lives through Yoga , instrument play and Silambam.Two dance performances were offered to the audience.A thought-provoking mime act, centered on the importance of fitness tests, creatively conveyed the message of health awareness and regular fitness assessments. Singers of both classes engaged the crowd with a soothing song.An informative interview focusing on fitness was staged by the scholar .The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving a lasting impression on the audience and inspiring them to make positive changes towards a healthier lifestyle.

Independence Day celebration

Mount Zion International School celebrated the 80th Independence Day today, commemorating 79 years of freedom from British colonial rule. The celebration was led by the students through prayers, speeches, Tamil poem, National pledge and patriotic songs.

The Principal of MZIS CBSE, Dr. Jalaja Kumari, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She hoisted the National Flag, the Tiranga, and delivered an inspiring message, reminding the students that they are the pillars of tomorrow and the hope for a better future. She also highlighted “Yuva Shakti”, referring to the energy, potential, innovation and driving force of the country’s young generation.

The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, filling the gathering with a strong sense of patriotism and pride.

The students of Grade 1A presented a vibrant and patriotic special assembly to commemorate Independence Day with great enthusiasm and spirit. The programme began with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, Bible Reading and Thought for the Day. The Welcome Dance, English Speech, Tamil Story and Hindi Poem beautifully highlighted the significance of Independence Day.

The West Bengal ramp walk, Brave Little Freedom Fighters group theme song, Mono act, and dance performance were warmly received and showcased the students’ creativity and talents. The programme concluded with a meaningful Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem.

The students of 2E presented a heartfelt assembly on Parents’ Day, celebrating the unconditional love, care and sacrifices of parents. Through speeches, songs, Thirukkural, a Hindi presentation, dance, and a touching role-play, the students expressed their gratitude and emphasized the importance of respecting and cherishing their parents. The assembly concluded with an inspiring video, Vote of Thanks and an address by the Coordinator.

Stop. Wait. Go. Stay Safe! 🚦

Our young learners of class V-D&E brought an important message to the assembly through a vibrant presentation on Road Safety and Traffic Lights. With confidence and enthusiasm, they explored the meaning of traffic signals and shared simple safety habits that can make a big difference.

The students reminded us that traffic rules are not restrictions but safeguards that protect us and those around us, while also emphasizing the importance of using zebra crossings, wearing helmets and seat belts, and staying alert while using the road.

Through their words and presentation, our students showed that road safety is not just a rule to follow but a responsibility we all share.
Because when we make safe choices today, we build a brighter tomorrow!

First Parent-Teacher Meeting | Academic Year 2026–27

The first Parent-Teacher Meeting of the Academic Year 2026–27 was conducted following the completion of Periodic Test 1, providing a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to come together and reflect on the academic journey of our students.

The meeting focused on reviewing students’ performance in the first assessment of the year, recognising their achievements, understanding their challenges, and identifying areas that require further attention and support.

Teachers shared individual feedback on students’ academic progress, classroom participation, learning habits, discipline, and overall engagement. Parents actively participated in the discussions, sharing their observations and gaining insights into their children’s learning experiences at school.

The feedback from Periodic Test 1 served as an important starting point for setting goals and working towards improvement in the months ahead.
