Dear fellow alumni, it has been almost a year since the OSA page has been created, but it has not been put to a very constructive use. So, I propose a way of keeping this group professional and ensure the group proves resourceful to the current and future alumni of SAV. Henceforth, I request the alumni to post only constructive information or information relevant to the alumni of SAV on this page like a project in which an alumnus has worked, website an alumnus has designed, a piece of music an alumnus has created, a nice photograph an alumnus has taken, a job opportunity in an alumnus's workplace, tips for higher secondary exams, college info to help the alumni choose the right institution, tips on foreign universities, company info for placement guidance, research opportunities, alumni publications, alumni awards, help with organizing Mahotsav, etc. along with important updates from the school. Let us refrain from posting stills from movies, pictures of actors etc on the page, unless an alumnus of SAV has worked on the film (in which case, please mention the name of the alumnus and his / her role in the film). It really presents a grey image when someone reaches this page and finds childish squabbles, actor glorification, unwarranted remarks and such. I removed a few such posts for starters. Please remember the alumni page of a school reflects on the reputation of the school itself. I hope all the page admins and members are in agreement with this.
