TRP Engineering College ,is named after this well-known educationist and philanthropist Dr.T.R. Pachamuthu. The institution continues the blazing glory in the field of education, deservedly bequeathing it from SRM Group of Institutions. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Anna University ,Tiruchirappalli. The College is located on NH-45 at Irungalur near samayapuram, famous for its mariamman temple and at a distance of about 25kms from Tiruchirappalli, a city well known for its education, industrial development and connectivity with all parts of the state. The College is constructed in a rural area hence it is quiet and pollution-free campus.

The Department of Innovation Cell, SRM TRP Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli, successfully organized THODAKKAM ’26 – Student–Founder Startup Meet on 23 September 2026.

Mr. Pagutharivu Muthusamy, CEO & Co-Founder, SurfaceInsight Technologies, shared his entrepreneurial journey and practical insights on startup building, idea validation, technology innovation and real-world entrepreneurial challenges.

With 162+ students and 40 student teams participating, the session created an engaging platform for students to pitch ideas, interact directly with an industry founder and receive practical feedback.

The participating teams will continue to develop and refine their ideas for submission in November 2026, taking them closer to practical implementation.

RECRAFT 2026 | Science Club Inauguration & Best Out of Waste Competition

The Science Club of SRM TRP Engineering College successfully organized RECRAFT 2026 on 23 September 2026, centered on the theme “Reimagine Waste. Recreate the Future.”

The programme commenced with the Science Club Inauguration, followed by the Best Out of Waste Competition, where first-year B.E./B.Tech students transformed recyclable materials into innovative and sustainable solutions.

Students also actively participated in science activity stalls at the TRP Portico, engaging in interactive sessions that promoted scientific curiosity, creativity, and experiential learning.
