Department of Energy and Environment and Calibration Laboratory CL-DEE (NABL Accredited) have planned to organize a three days online workshop on “Tools and Techniques for Effective Research” from 29th to 31st October 2020. The online workshop focuses on Modern tools used to carry out research activities in effective and efficient manner. Sessions will be handled by Expert speakers from various Govt. and Private Organizations such as National Physical Laboratory, NIT-Tiruchirappalli, GCES Srirangam, University of Hyderabad, VIT-AP, Fluke Technologies, etc. Faculties, Researchers and PhD candidates are invited to participate and get benefit out of the online workshop.

Topics to be discussed-
1. Systematic Literature review, Scientometrics and Meta-analysis
2. Experimental uncertainty and error propagation estimation using GUM and Monte carlo method
3. Finding and Managing scientific literature/ information for Research
4. Evaluation and Expression of uncertainty in thermocouple
5. Significance of RSM and its applications
6. Formatting Research articles in Latex
7. Data analysis using Bluesky statistics, JAMOVI and JASP
8. Estimation of Uncertainty in measurements

Warm Greeting! The Department of Energy and Environment(DEE), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, is organizing a one-week self-sponsored workshop on “Instrumental Methods of Analysis” from 24-26, January 2019 with the objective of providing hands-on training in instruments like TGA, TG-IR, CHNS/O, DSC, UV/VIS/NIR Spectroscopy, IR Spectroscopy. The scope of the workshop is to introduce the sample preparation, basic principles of thermal analysis, data interpretation and demonstration of the instruments. As an outcome of the workshop, one can characterize polymers, organic or inorganic chemicals, metals, semiconductors and other common classes of materials.
