What an incredible showcase of talent! The ACDC’25 competition has officially concluded, and we’re buzzing from the insightful entries we received!

​This year, we challenged students with a crucial Urban Intervention at the Eliot beach. The core task was a design puzzle: how do we creatively balance the area’s “temporal rhythm”—from the quiet day to the bustling, vibrant night?

​This competition is more than just drawing boards; it’s about making a real-world difference. The proposals address critical issues like solid waste management, vendor encroachment, and resilient infrastructure, all aiming to create a dignified, sustainable, and truly democratic public space for the entire community.

​A huge thank you to every participant for their dedication and bold visions. You are the minds shaping the future of our urban landscape!

​After an intense competition, we are thrilled to announce the top three winners of ACDC’25!

​Each submission delivered an inspiring solution for the Urban Intervention, successfully mastering the core challenge: balancing the beach’s quiet day with its vibrant night. Their work exemplifies excellence in architectural thinking, offering resilient, thoughtful, and context-specific designs that honor the democratic spirit of the public space.
