What an incredible showcase of talent! The ACDC’25 competition has officially concluded, and we’re buzzing from the insightful entries we received!
This year, we challenged students with a crucial Urban Intervention at the Eliot beach. The core task was a design puzzle: how do we creatively balance the area’s “temporal rhythm”—from the quiet day to the bustling, vibrant night?
This competition is more than just drawing boards; it’s about making a real-world difference. The proposals address critical issues like solid waste management, vendor encroachment, and resilient infrastructure, all aiming to create a dignified, sustainable, and truly democratic public space for the entire community.
A huge thank you to every participant for their dedication and bold visions. You are the minds shaping the future of our urban landscape!
After an intense competition, we are thrilled to announce the top three winners of ACDC’25!
Each submission delivered an inspiring solution for the Urban Intervention, successfully mastering the core challenge: balancing the beach’s quiet day with its vibrant night. Their work exemplifies excellence in architectural thinking, offering resilient, thoughtful, and context-specific designs that honor the democratic spirit of the public space.
Congratulations to all our winners for their extraordinary achievements!
