The Interclass Solo Patriotic & Devotional Song and Group Patriotic Song Competitions for Classes VII, VIII & IX were held on 16 August 2026 at Vivekananda Sabhagriha, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar. The event celebrated the spirit of patriotism and devotion through the melodious voices of our students.

Ramakrishna Mission Narottam Nagar Honoured as Nikshay Mitra

Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, was honoured as a NIKSHAY-MITRA by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh during the Independence Day celebrations held at Deomali on 15 August 2026.

The recognition was conferred in appreciation of the Mission’s initiative of adopting TB patients and providing them with monthly nutritional ration supplies for the past six months.

Through this humble service, the Mission continues its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to the Government’s efforts towards a TB-free India.

Service to humanity is service to the nation.

Independence Day Special Quiz

An Independence Day Special Quiz Competition for students of Classes X, XI & XII was held at Vivekananda Sabhagriha, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations on 15th August 2026.

The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, combining knowledge, patriotism and healthy competition in the spirit of Independence Day.

80th Independence Day Celebrations

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, on 15 August 2026 at the Mahavir Stadium.

The programme featured Flag Hoisting, March Past, Band Display, Mass PT, “Azadi – The Battle Against Screen Addiction” and patriotic songs presented by the students. Sri Kamalesh Chakraborty, Senior Advocate, Digboi, hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering.

The Ramakrishna Mission School Band Troupe also proudly participated in the Sub-Divisional General Parade at Deomali. Cultural troupes from Ramakrishna Mission School (RKMS) and Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Vidyalaya (RKMSV) presented performances at Deomali. Students were honoured with awards for their outstanding performances.
