Long paragraph alert…💙
Just another batch like always?
No, it was never just another batch.
My very first SSLC batch...
Their journey with me started back in 2020, all tiny humans with only hope of passing their exams. You never realize how important some people become in your life until they do.
Things were simple until 2022, when they completed their 10th. That’s when Preethi moved to another city, yet still showed up every weekend, just to learn something new and stay close to our little family. The others continued with me. Years of hustle, late-night studies, morning teas, endless pressure, scoldings, and laughter, still, they stayed.
I may seem tough, always playing the mentor, but there’s a protective side in me that never lets them fall. They trusted me, they worked hard, and they made it, passed their exams and stepped into great colleges, all taking the same degree as mine.
Our journey has been so much more than classes and notes. They’ve seen me grow, they saw me win medals, come home after my first symposium, eyes shining and words spilling with excitement. They saw me lose things, learn things, and rise again.
What makes them special is that they are my first. The ones who’ve grown with me. When I organized my college symposium as the student coordinator, I took them along, just to give them an experience. I wanted them to see what it feels like. I didn’t expect them to win, but they did. Multiple prizes in both technical and non-technical events.
When I saw them walk up that stage, I was comparing the event, but my eyes filled with tears. It felt surreal, like watching my own story replay, only brighter. Back then, I had no one to guide me through my first symposium, but now I was standing there, watching my students live that moment.
When we took a picture below the stage, it hit me, everything I ever wanted to feel, I was now watching unfold in front of me
They began their journey following my footsteps, and now they walk beside me. Someday, they’ll walk ahead of me, and that’s exactly how it should be....🌟💙
