Nehru College of Pharmacy Celebrates Excellence with Grand "Merit Day 2026" 🏆

Nehru College of Pharmacy, celebrated academic excellence and research achievements through its prestigious Merit Day 2026, held in a grand and inspiring manner at the college seminar hall on Thursday.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr. D. Vijay Kumar, Principal of Nehru College of Pharmacy, highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing excellence and creating opportunities for students to realize their full potential.
The formal inauguration was performed by Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius - India, Chancellor of P. K. Das Deemed to be University, and Chairman& Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions. He encouraged students to pursue excellence with dedication, integrity, and a spirit of continuous learning.

Mr.M. Srinivas, Principal Coordinator, Statutory Works, delivered the felicitation address.
University rank holders from M.Pharm, Ms. Sreeshma K Babu - First Rank, Ms.Afra.P - Third Rank and Dr. Ann George - Second Rank from Pharm.D, were awarded with cash prizes. Outstanding students from D.Pharm, B.Pharm, and Pharm.D programmes were also honoured for their exemplary performance in academics and co-curricular activities. Students who excelled in arts and sports were also recognized for bringing laurels to the institution through their talents and accomplishments.
A significant moment during the event was the distribution of the certificate received for securing Second Rank in the Pharmacy category of the Kerala Institutional Research Framework (KIRF), a remarkable achievement that reflects the institution’s growing prominence in academic research and innovation.
The event also featured a special felicitation ceremony for faculty members who successfully completed their Ph.D. They were honoured with appreciation awards in recognition of their dedication to higher learning, research, and academic advancement.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. T. Tamilselvan, Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice. 🌟

In celebration of the spirit of wellness and the pursuit of healthier tomorrows, an engaging Online Quiz Competition is being organized on the occasion of World Health Day, 07 April 2026. This intellectual gathering is thoughtfully organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis, in proud collaboration with the IQAC of Nehru College of Pharmacy, Pampady, Thrissur.
