"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"- with this in mind, IEEE SB GECT organised a one-day workshop on Web development, but with a few surprises in store!

The session included the workshop, an idea-selling task and a 2 hour-long treasure hunt sprawling the entire campus.

The whole event was planned, organised and executed by the Second years in the SB. ♥️

As a part of Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations , under the initiative of IIT Bombay, kits and other materials required for the manufacture of environment friendly solar lamps are being supplied to schools, and they are involving students from school and college to take part in this effort.

Power and Energy Society- IEEE Student Branch, GEC Thrissur is proud to be collaborating with St George HSS, Pariyaram, Chalakudy in teaching the students on the basics of Soldering and assembling. They are also aiming at a Guinness World Record for the most number of Solar Lamps made simultaneously all over India.

We wish them all the success and hope to collaborate and contribute to the society in the future! ♥️

About the Speaker
Dr Sanjib Kumar Panda is Associate Professor and Director of the Power & Energy Research Area with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr Panda has co-authored 1 book and holds six patents. He has carried out extensive research in various areas of control of electric drives and power electronic converters. He is Associate Editor of "IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics" and "IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics".
