The water filter donated by ESAF Financial Holdings under its CSR initiative to Lahanti Community School, Majuli Island, Assam, is doing more than providing safe drinking water to school students. It is also supporting mothers with infants, young children, and members of the surrounding community.

In a place like Majuli, where access to safe water can be a significant challenge, this simple yet meaningful intervention is helping meet a basic need for many more people than those it was originally intended for.

Drinking water facilities
Water, sanitation and hygiene in schools create an enabling environment, which ensures children’s dignity, safety and health. We are installing hand pumps in all our schools for the children to access safe drinking water.

Computer Education
Our goal in Let Them Smile project is to provide world class education to tribal children. This includes technology-based education. We have been giving basic training to students in computer education for last few years. This year they will learn Microsoft tools and typing.
