The Gurukula System (residential schooling system) was prevalent in the family of Ashtavaidyan Eledath Thaikkattu Mooss for centuries. Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Foundation hospital and training center started as a clinical establishment and has grown in to the fields of academics and research since the last 30 years. During this period, more than 75 training programs and awareness programs were conducted for upcoming doctors, practitioners, paramedicals, foreign delicates and the public. The inspiration and experience we gained as well as the acceptance and motivation we received during these programs has encouraged us to introduce a novel and unique concept - Ayurveda Finishing School based on practice - oriented learning.
