LEAP 2026 | Exploring the Business of Space

The LEAP 2026 journey took our MBA students into one of the most exciting sunrise sectors of the new economy — the Space & Satellite industry.

Students of T-IIM visited HEX20, a Technopark-based satellite company, where they had an engaging and insightful interaction with Mr. Aravind MB, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer, HEX20.

The session gave students a valuable glimpse into the business opportunities, entrepreneurial possibilities and emerging career avenues being created by the rapidly evolving space sector.

But the experience went beyond conversation.

Students also had the opportunity to visit the Clean Room — a highly controlled environment where satellite components are carefully assembled and tested. Seeing this specialised facility first-hand helped them understand the precision, discipline, technology and operational excellence required behind every space mission.

For our students, it was a powerful reminder that the future of business is expanding into new frontiers — and space is no longer just about exploration; it is becoming a growing ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, technology and opportunity.

LEAP 2026 | Exploring the Innovation Ecosystem

As part of the LEAP 2026 – Leadership, Excellence, Aspiration & Purpose journey, T-IIM students visited 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤, 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐦 — India's first and Asia's one of the largest IT Parks. To gain a deeper understanding of one of Kerala’s most dynamic technology and innovation ecosystems.

The students attended an insightful session on “Technopark and its Innovation Ecosystem”, led by
Mr. Abhilash DS, Assistant Vice President – Administration & Industrial Relations, Technopark.

The session offered students a valuable perspective on how a vibrant ecosystem brings together technology companies, entrepreneurs, talent, innovation and opportunities, creating an environment where ideas can evolve into businesses and careers can grow.

Beyond simply understanding Technopark as a workplace destination, students explored the people, organizations, opportunities and innovation that drive its ecosystem — giving them a closer look at the world they aspire to enter.

When students experience an ecosystem from within, learning becomes more than knowledge — it becomes inspiration.

LEAP 2026 | Vizhinjam — Experiencing India’s Gateway to Global Trade

From the classroom to the heart of one of India’s most ambitious maritime developments, LEAP 2026 took our MBA students to Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport — a truly remarkable learning experience.

With its naturally deep waters, strategic location and modern infrastructure, Vizhinjam is emerging as a significant maritime gateway connecting Kerala and India with global markets.

For our students, this was much more than an industry visit. It was an opportunity to:
- Experience real-world port operations
- Understand global trade dynamics
- Explore the evolving maritime sector
- Witness the scale of infrastructure driving India’s maritime growth

A major highlight of the visit was getting an up-close view of MSC ARINA, a massive container vessel at the port. Seeing the vessel and port operations firsthand gave students a powerful perspective on how goods move across continents and how interconnected the global economy truly is.

The sessions and interactions were led by Mr. Vijeesh, Coordinator – Project Udaan, who helped students connect what they learn in business classrooms with the realities of the maritime industry.

When students see global trade in action, business education takes on an entirely new meaning.

T-IIM students had the privilege of an inspiring and highly interactive session with Shri. N. Prasanth IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala, widely known as “Collector Bro.”

The session was an open interaction with students, where his experiences, perspectives, and stories gave them a closer understanding of what leadership looks like when decisions have real-world impact.

His candid interaction and rich experiences from public administration offered valuable lessons that go far beyond the classroom — from handling challenging situations and navigating crises to identifying opportunities and making the most of them.
