Oracle Volunteers Give Back to Nature at CET!
Oracle’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement came alive at College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) with the successful completion of the “Butterfly Lane with Avenue of Flowering Trees” initiative.
Volunteers from Oracle, alongside CET faculty and NSS student volunteers transformed an unused patch of land into a thriving butterfly garden and an avenue of flowering plants, promoting biodiversity and improving the campus environment. The project was done at CET on 16th Dec 2025. The project blended hands-on environmental learning with community action. From planting native pollinator-friendly plants to creating green spaces for future generations, this initiative is a step towards a more sustainable, eco-conscious campus.
From Oracle, the initiative saw strong leadership participation from Prabakar Paulsami, Group Vice President, Customer Service Applications, Anoop Kuncheria, Deepa Gopikuttan Pillai & Smitha Joseph, Senior Directors, along with a dedicated team of engineers from Customer Service Applications group at Oracle Trivandrum. For many Oracle volunteers who were alumni of CET, the project held special meaning. Planting saplings on the very campus that shaped them as engineers was an emotional and fulfilling way to give back to their alma mater.
Hari Prabhakaran, from NGO Nature’s Green Guardians Foundation joined the program and provided his valuable guidance and support.
The initiative was graced by the presence of Dr. Suresh K., Principal, College of Engineering Trivandrum; Dr. Jisha V R, Professor & Dean (UG); Dr. Abhilash Suryan, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Deepa Rani R., Assistant Professor, Department of Architecture who also served as the project coordinator.
