Finale in Full Bloom: Regatta Natya Sangeetholsavam 2025 🌟

The grand finale of Regatta’s 53rd anniversary was a vibrant celebration of classical artistry and cultural legacy. Honored by the presence of Sri. R. Ramachandran Nair IAS and Smt. Chippy Renjith, the evening sparkled with elegance and emotion. Dr. P. Ramadevi was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for her remarkable contributions to Kuchipudi.

The performances commenced with the Ganapati Sthuthi “Prabho Ganapathe...,” a composition by Agastyar set in raga Tilak. This was followed by “Anjana Sreedhara...,” a devotional piece penned by Poonthanam in praise of Guruvayoorappa, presented in the graceful Mohiniyattam style. Syama Sastri’s “Palinchu Kamakshi...,” choreographed by Madhavi Chandran, added depth and elegance to the evening’s repertoire.

The evening reached new heights with a captivating Bharatanatyam solo by Kalakshetra Rakesh K.P., featuring the emotionally charged varnam “Mohanagiri konden...” and the 23rd Ashtapadi from Jayadeva’s Gita Govindam, set to raga Dwijavanti and choreographed by Bhrega Brussel.

Young performers then lit up the stage with vibrant folk dances, followed by a graceful sequence of keertanams and padams across Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi styles. The night concluded with a serene pushpanjali, leaving the audience with hearts full of admiration and joy.

Rhythms of Devotion: Regatta Natya Sangeetholsavam 2025 🎶

The fourth evening of Regatta’s 53rd anniversary was graced by Sri. K. Jayakumar IAS (Former Chief Secretary, Kerala; Poet, Lyricist & Screenwriter) and Smt. Menaka Suresh (Film Actor & Producer), whose presence added warmth and distinction to the celebrations. Certificates were awarded to senior dancers who have dedicated their lives to classical arts, who've done their Rangapravesam, and passionate Grihanayikas who continue their artistic journey with grace and commitment.

The evening started off with Vandana Slokam and Nrithanjali, followed by Kuchipudi presentations by young beginners—Rama Pattabhisheka Sabdam in Mohanam and Adi tala, choreographed by the legendary Vempati Chinna Satyam.

The featured performance of the evening showcased Ratheesh Babu along with two of his disciples. It began with an invocation in Arabhi and talamalika, presented by M.T. Mrunmayee. This was followed by "Nagendraharaya...", performed by Ratheesh Babu himself alongside Shweta Nayak, and "Ka va va...", a soulful Papanasam Shivan composition, again presented by Mrunmayee. The trio concluded with a spirited Thillana in Dhanasree, composed by Swathi Thirunal.

The third segment featured a Muruka Stuti in Begada, a playful Tharaavu folk piece, and a soulful Mohiniyattam Cholkettu in Kedara Gowla. Classical depth continued with Adayar Lakshman’s Sabdam in Ragamalika and Misra Chapu, a Bharatanatyam Keertanam, and a serene Bhajan in Bimplas. The evening concluded with a Saraswati Varnam in Adi tala.
