The students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Nalanchira has come up as the winner in the SanRevo Fest conducted at St. Thomas Residential School, Mukkolakkal, Trivandrum. The same students have come up as the Runner Up in the LaFest conducted by Loyola School, Sreekariyam, Trivandrum.

He had been the principle of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya for a decade.
He was a student and principle of Mar Ivanios Engineering College(which is about 1.5 km from Sarvodaya Vidyalaya) and retired from their on 2001 and joined Sarvodaya Vidyalaya as principle.He retired from Sarvodaya Vidyalaya on the half of 2011-2012 season.

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Courses

THE ICSE/ISC COURSE

The ICSE course, the most advanced one now available in India, is modelled and organised on the lines of the Senior Cambridge Course of England. The syllabi are prepared, books prescribed and examinations conducted accordingly to achieve academic excellence. There are about 100 recognised ICSE/ISC schools in the whole country.

a. The school prepares students for the 10 year ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) examination which is recognised for admission to the Plus Two (ISC) course in the Indian Universities.

b. The School also offers Plus Two (ISC-Indian School Certificate) course which is equivalent to the Pre-degree course and Higher Secondary Course giving eligibility for admission to Professional Courses. English, Malayalam/Hindi, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science are the subjects offered by this School. The ISC course is the only course in India to receive accreditation in foreign countries.

c. The medium of instruction is English. Malayalam and Hindi are compulsory languages for standard II to VII. Malayalam and English are the languages taught in standard I. From Standard VIII to X Hindi or Malayalam is to be chosen along with English.

CBSE COURSE

CBSE courses are offered from Std V to XII in Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya which is a unit of Sarvodaya group of schools. The second language offered (from Std IX) is either Hindi or Malayalam.

SSLC COURSE

The school offers SSLC Course with Kerala State syllabus in English medium from standard VIII. Students joining SSLC course from any other course can choose Special English instead of Malayalam. The school also offers Higher Secondary Course (Plus two course)

BOYS:

White shirt with half sleeves and navy blue shorts up to Standard IV. White shirt with half sleeves and navy blue pants for boys from Std V to XII.
LOW WAIST PANTS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

GIRLS:

Check pattern (as prescribed by the School) Pinafore and white shirt up to Standard IV. Check pattern midi skirt and white pleated shirt for girls from Std V to X. Check pattern midi skirt, white shirt without pleasts and sleevelss check pattern overcoat for the girls of Std XI and XII. The shirt should be tucked in, in all cases. Girls having short hair or hair above the shoulder level should have it neatly brushed and banded. Long hair must be plaited into two and banded. The hair bands should be white. Well polished black(leather) shoes and navy blue socks should be worn by all the boys and girls. A student on the school roll should always come to school in uniform, even during the practicals and extra classes. Slovenly dressed students may not be permitted to enter the class. Students are not allowed to wear gold or silver ornaments at school. Only small studs for ears are permitted for the girls.

All uniforms should have emblems stitched onto it. Well polished black shoes and navy blue socks for all.

News for admission 2013-2014

a. Admission to LKG class of the succeeding Academic year is given in December of the previous year. Application forms and prospectus are issued from the office in November of the previous Year.

b. The Principal reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.

c. The minimum age for admission to LKG class is 3½ years and to standard I is 5½ years on the first of June of the year of study. The age limit varies correspondingly for admission to other standards. Note: Relaxation to the age limits will not be granted.

d. Admission to all classes other than LKG is strictly restricted to the number of vacancies arising in each class every year. Separate application forms will be issued for such admissions and a selection list will be publised. There will be no new admissions to Standards IX, X and XII.

e. Admission to Std XI (ISC) will commence as soon as the ICSE results are published. Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit.

f. Students seeking admission from other states or countries should produce Transfer Certificates countersigned by competent educational authorities/embassies of the state or country.
