A petition was filed in the Supreme Court against pension for politicians

Share and support this cause:

A PIL has now been filed in the Supreme Court.

Sending it for your evaluation.

Dear/respected citizens of India, you are requested to read this message, if you agree please send it to all your contacts and ask them to forward more.

Within three days, this message should reach all over India. Every citizen should raise his voice in India.

MPs and MLAs do not get pension. Because politics is not a job but a free service. - MLA-MPs are elected under the General Representation Act and are not retired but can be re-elected in the same condition. (At present they get pension after 5 years of service).

Another flaw in this is that if a person is a councilor first, then becomes a legislator and then becomes an MP, he gets three pensions instead of one. But ordinary workers are only entitled to any pension under the same criteria...

Action needs to be taken immediately to prevent this. This is the biggest fraud against the citizens of the country.

Revision of Salary Allowance of MPs in conjunction with Central Pay Commission .... It should be included in Income Tax ....

At present, MPs increase their salaries and allowances arbitrarily by voting themselves and at that time all parties are united.

Govt provided health care system of MPs should be given up ..and health care like public health in India should take care of them like any other citizen ..currently their treatment is often done abroad...if they want to do it abroad it should be done at their own expense.

The concessions given to them like electricity, water and phone bills should be stopped. (They not only get many such concessions but also increase them regularly) -

Convicts should be barred from contesting elections, suspicious persons with criminal records and criminals including criminals should be excluded from Parliament.

People's representatives and supporters should avoid cheating the people by withdrawing the case when the administration comes. Instead, the financial loss caused by the politicians should be recovered from them.

Cases over properties held in the name of ministers and representatives and nominees should follow the same rules applicable to ordinary citizens.

No discount on LPG gas subsidy for citizens ... Subsidies available to MPs and MLAs and other subsidies including subsidized food in Parliament canteen should be withdrawn.

Serving in Parliament is an honor, not a lucrative career for looting.

Free rail and air travel should end.

Why do ordinary people have to put up with their "funny"?

Don't you think this is the right time to raise this issue?

If you agree with the above, pass this on.

If each person communicates with at least twenty people, most people in India will receive this message in three days.
Thank you

The "Research Onion" is a model that helps explain the different layers you need to consider when designing and conducting research. Think of it as peeling an onion, where you start from the outermost layer and work your way inward, making decisions at each stage that influence how you carry out your research. Here's a simple breakdown of each layer:

# # # 1. **Philosophies (Outer Layer)**
The outermost layer represents your research philosophy, which is about your beliefs regarding knowledge and reality. This includes:
- **Positivism:** Belief that reality is objective and can be measured using scientific methods.
- **Interpretivism:** Belief that reality is subjective and can be understood through people's experiences and social contexts.
- **Pragmatism:** A practical approach where the focus is on the research question and using the best methods to answer it, regardless of philosophy.
- **Realism:** Belief that reality exists independently of human thoughts but can be interpreted differently by different people.

# # # 2. **Approaches**
The next layer involves choosing your research approach. This decision is influenced by your philosophy:
- **Deductive Approach:** Start with a theory or hypothesis, then collect data to test it. This is often associated with quantitative research.
- **Inductive Approach:** Start with data collection, then develop a theory based on the data. This is common in qualitative research.

# # # 3. **Strategies**
In this layer, you choose the strategy or plan for your research. Some common strategies include:
- **Experiment:** Conducting tests under controlled conditions to determine cause-and-effect relationships.
- **Survey:** Collecting data from a large group of people using questionnaires or interviews.
- **Case Study:** In-depth study of a specific individual, group, or event to explore complex issues.
- **Ethnography:** Immersing yourself in a community or culture to study it from the inside.
- **Action Research:** Working with participants to solve a problem while studying the process.

# # # 4. **Choices**
This layer involves deciding on the methods you will use to collect and analyze data:
- **Mono Method:** Using a single method (either quantitative or qualitative).
- **Mixed Methods:** Combining both quantitative and qualitative methods in one study.
- **Multi-Method:** Using different methods but within the same type (e.g., multiple qualitative methods).

# # # 5. **Time Horizons**
Here, you decide on the timeframe for your research:
- **Cross-sectional:** Studying a phenomenon at a single point in time.
- **Longitudinal:** Studying a phenomenon over an extended period, allowing you to observe changes and developments.

# # # 6. **Techniques and Procedures (Innermost Layer)**
Finally, the innermost layer is about the specific techniques and procedures you'll use to collect and analyze your data:
- **Data Collection:** Deciding how you'll gather your data (e.g., surveys, interviews, observation).
- **Data Analysis:** Choosing how you'll interpret and make sense of the data (e.g., statistical analysis, thematic analysis).

# # # Putting It All Together
When you conduct research, you start by thinking about your philosophy (the outer layer) and gradually move inward, making decisions about your approach, strategy, methods, timeframe, and specific techniques. Each decision influences the next, helping you create a coherent and effective research design.

The Research Onion model is useful because it helps ensure that all aspects of your research are well thought out and aligned, making your study more robust and credible.

Here are various types of research methodologies, each explained in a paragraph:

1. **Quantitative Methodology**
Quantitative methodology involves the collection and analysis of numerical data to uncover patterns, relationships, or trends. This approach is often used in studies where the goal is to measure variables and analyze them statistically. Common techniques include surveys, experiments, and existing data analysis. Quantitative research is highly structured, often involving large sample sizes and the use of instruments like questionnaires or standardized tests to ensure objectivity and replicability of the findings. This methodology is particularly effective in fields such as social sciences, economics, and health sciences, where quantifiable outcomes are crucial.

2. **Qualitative Methodology**
Qualitative methodology focuses on exploring and understanding the meaning individuals or groups ascribe to social or human problems. This approach is more subjective and involves collecting non-numerical data, such as interviews, observations, and textual analysis. The research is often conducted in a natural setting, where the researcher plays an active role in the data collection process. Qualitative research aims to provide a deep, contextual understanding of a phenomenon, often through thematic analysis or narrative inquiry. It is particularly valuable in fields like anthropology, sociology, and education, where understanding the depth and complexity of human experience is essential.

3. **Mixed-Methods Methodology**
Mixed-methods research combines both quantitative and qualitative approaches within a single study to capitalize on the strengths of each. This methodology allows researchers to explore a research problem more comprehensively by collecting both numerical data and in-depth contextual information. Mixed-methods studies can be sequential, where one method follows the other, or concurrent, where both methods are used simultaneously. This approach is beneficial in complex research problems that require a broad understanding, such as in education, healthcare, and social sciences, where both statistical trends and personal experiences are crucial to forming a complete picture.

4. **Case Study Methodology**
The case study methodology is an in-depth exploration of a particular instance, event, organization, or individual within its real-life context. This approach is used to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex issues in their natural settings. Case studies can involve both qualitative and quantitative data and often use multiple sources of evidence, including interviews, observations, and archival records. This methodology is particularly useful in fields such as psychology, business, and law, where in-depth knowledge of specific cases can provide insights into broader principles or practices.

5. **Ethnographic Methodology**
Ethnographic research involves the detailed study of people and cultures through close observation and participation. This methodology is rooted in anthropology and aims to understand the social behaviors, customs, and daily lives of people within their natural environments. Ethnographers immerse themselves in the community they are studying, often for extended periods, to observe and interact with participants in their natural settings. Data collection methods include participant observation, in-depth interviews, and field notes. Ethnography is particularly valuable in fields like cultural studies, sociology, and education, where understanding the cultural context is critical.

6. **Experimental Methodology**
Experimental research is a scientific approach that involves manipulating one or more variables to determine their effect on other variables. This methodology is based on the principles of the scientific method, where a hypothesis is tested through controlled experiments. Participants are usually divided into control and experimental groups, with the experimental group receiving the intervention or treatment. Data is then collected and analyzed to draw conclusions about causal relationships. Experimental research is widely used in fields like psychology, medicine, and natural sciences, where establishing cause-and-effect relationships is essential.

7. **Action Research Methodology**
Action research is a participatory and iterative research approach that seeks to solve practical problems through a cycle of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. This methodology is collaborative, involving researchers and participants working together to identify a problem, implement solutions, and evaluate the outcomes. The cyclical nature of action research allows for continuous improvement and adaptation. It is commonly used in fields such as education, community development, and organizational change, where the goal is to bring about positive change through informed action.

8. **Phenomenological Methodology**
Phenomenological research seeks to understand and describe the lived experiences of individuals regarding a particular phenomenon. This qualitative approach focuses on exploring how people perceive and make sense of their experiences. The methodology involves in-depth interviews and the analysis of participants' narratives to uncover the essence of the experience. Researchers aim to bracket their own preconceptions to understand the phenomenon from the participants' perspectives fully. Phenomenology is widely used in fields like psychology, nursing, and education, where understanding subjective experiences is crucial.

9. **Grounded Theory Methodology**
Grounded theory is a qualitative research methodology that involves generating or discovering a theory through the systematic collection and analysis of data. Unlike other methodologies that begin with a hypothesis, grounded theory starts with data collection and uses a continuous comparative method to develop theories grounded in the data itself. This approach is particularly useful in exploring new or under-researched areas where existing theories may not apply. Grounded theory is commonly used in sociology, education, and healthcare research, where the aim is to build theories that emerge directly from the data.

10. **Historical Methodology**
Historical research involves the systematic study and interpretation of past events to understand patterns, causes, and effects over time. This methodology relies on primary sources such as documents, letters, and artifacts, as well as secondary sources like books and articles. Researchers critically analyze these sources to construct narratives or explanations of historical events. Historical methodology is essential in fields such as history, political science, and cultural studies, where understanding the context and evolution of events is necessary for interpreting current issues.

These methodologies offer diverse approaches to research, each suited to different types of questions, contexts, and disciplines.

🚨 Phishing Alert! 🚨

I wanted to share a serious warning with everyone. Today, on 13th August 2024, I received a suspicious message from the number +91 7908169597. The sender was urging me to click on a link and enter my PAN card details for "updation." Despite my clear response that I had already updated my PAN details at my ICICI Bank branch, they persisted and even used abusive language when I refused to comply.

This is a clear attempt at phishing, and I urge everyone to be extremely cautious. Do NOT click on any links or provide any personal information if you receive similar messages. Please note this number and be vigilant.

I strongly recommend that ICICI Bank and the relevant authorities look into this matter to prevent any potential fraud. Stay safe and protect your personal information!
