It is sad to know that our Tamil school beloved lovable teacher Smt. Leela Alexander attained moksham last month due to age related issues. The students who studied in Tamil school in 1970/80's must be knowing her.very well. She was loved by all the students by her behaving nature, method of teaching, cordination with cultural activities etc. She was living in Thycaud, Trivandrum and I used to visit her regularly to enquire about her welfare. She was remembering all the students. GOVT CHALAI TAMIL HIGH SCHOOL, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM , CENTERNARY CELEBRATIONS, 28 MAR 2026. I appreciate the organisers who took so much initiative in organising such a grand event. In my Tamil School history I am hearing it as first time.
So many good teachers inculcated good moral values apart from academic education. Before starting the regular class, first is parade with prayer respecting our national flag, reciting national anthem. Then simple pledge "India is my country. Everybody;s favorite comedian actor of Tamil movies Nagesh;s death anniversary today. Apart from comedy role, he proved himself as good character actor. I am his great fan. Thousand of movies we can tell, few to name Thiruvildayadaln Thillana Mohanambal, Kathalikka neramillai, Uttharavinti ulle vaa, Edhir neechal, Bama vijayam, etc etc many more. Remembering interaction with him few years back in Chennai..Some friends said he would have lived more years, if he is not addicted to smoking/ drinks. I didnt believe it. நாகேஷ் - மனோரமா ஜோடி ரசிகர்களின் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்று பிரபலமாக இருந்தார்கள் ஆனால் ஒரு காலகட்டத்தில்
கருத்து வேறுபாடு காரணமாக இந்த ஜோடி பிரிந்து பல வருடங்கள் மீண்டும் இணைந்து நடிக்காமல் இருந்தார்கள்
1990க்குப் பிறகு கமல், ரஜினி, விஜய், அர்ஜூன் போன்ற இளைய தலைமுறை நடிகர்களுடன் பல படங்களில் நடித்தார்
அவற்றில் அவ்வை ஷண்முகி, நம்மவர், பஞ்சதந்திரம், ரிதம், பூவே உனக்காக, வசூல் ராஜா எம்பிபிஎஸ் ,:தசாவதாரம் ஆகிய படங்கள் குறிப்பிடத் தக்கவை

MARKAZHI--MEMORISING 30 THIRUPPAVAI PASURAMS- Markazhi month is always special, considered as Spiritual month .If we say Markazhi, immedIiately comes to our mind is THIRUPPAVAI of Aandal, Srivilliputhur. During my school days of 1960 s in VALICHALAI STREET (AGRAHARAM), Thiruvananthapuram,I had memorised 30 pasurams and won silver coin in the THIRUPPAVAI COMPETITION, held in 1963. My eldest brother Prof. B.Anantharaman, took initiative as per the advise of MAHAPERIAVA, formed committed with like minded scholars Sri.S.V. Guruaswamy Sastrikal, Sri. K.A.Krishnammachari, Sri. Ramachandran and his class mate Sri Hariahara subramanian.. Alongwith me, my brothers, sisters and grama children took part in the competitions. Group photo attached is self explanatory.
