Rudrasena Foundation

Rudra and Soma are paired together as a dual divinity across Vedas and are treated as one. Atharva Veda also pairs Bhava and Rudra as dual divinity AV11.2.15, similarly, all 8 aspects of Rudras become one concept, hence both Rudra and Soma are collective divinities, and they accompany each other, hence there is significant overlap between them until Sri Rudram TS4.5.8 definitively labels Rudra is Somā and this statement landed in Maitreya Upanishad 3.03.

“nama somāya ca rudrāya ca”

We praise the Daughter of The Destroyer
Born from the thrid eye of Tryambaka
None stops the Mighty Bhadrakali
She marches with her army
She protects the dharmic
And destroys the Adharmic

Bhūta saṅgha nāyakaṃ viśāla kīrti dāyakaṃ

kāśi vāsa loka puṇya pāpa śodhakaṃ vibhum

nīti mārga kovidaṃ purātanaṃ jagatpatiṃ

kāśikā purādhinātha kālabhairavaṃ bhaje

I sing praise of Kalabhairava, the lord of Kashi, who is the leader of the ghosts and spirits, who showers immense glory, who absolves people dwelling in Kashi both from their sins and virtues, who is splendor, who has shown us the path of righteousness, who is eternal, and who is the lord of the universe.

Deva rāja sevyamāna pāvanāṅghri paṅkajaṃ

vyāla yajña sūtramindu śekharaṃ kṛpākaram

nāradādi yogi vṛnda vanditaṃ digambaraṃ

kāśikā purādhinātha kālabhairavaṃ bhaje

Salutations to the golden-armed one, the leader of armies, the lord of all directions. Salutations to the trees with green leaves, the lord of animals.🙏🏼🌸 Salutations to the one with bright hair, the protector of paths. Salutations to the one who shines and is the lord of food. Salutations to the one with bright hair, who protects the well-nourished. Salutations to the weapon of Bhava, the lord of all that moves.🙏🏼🌸 Salutations to Rudra, wielder of weapons, the lord of fields. Salutations to the one who destroys enemies, the lord of forests. Salutations to the red one, the lord of trees. Salutations to the counselor and the leader of merchants, the lord of boundaries. 🙏🏼🌸
Salutations to the one who brings forth water and fertility, the lord of herbs. Salutations to the one with a loud call, the lord of warriors. Salutations to the one who leads and runs swiftly, the lord of beings.🙏🏼🌸

Glory to the miracle doer🌸🙏🏼

oṃ namo bhagavate rudrāya viṣṇave mṛtyurme pāhi:

a̠va̠tatya̠ dhanu̠stvagṃ saha̍srākṣa̠ śatē̍ṣudhē ।
ni̠śīrya̍ śa̠lyānā̠-mmukhā̍ śi̠vō na̍-ssu̠manā̍ bhava ॥

O thousand-eyed Lord, lower your bow and keep its arrows away from us. Be peaceful and kind to us.

The God, who made the Mountain filled up with precious stones (Mount Meru) as his bow,
who resides on the Mountain of Silver
Who made head of the serpents (Vasuki)
as his bowstring, who used Lord Vishnu as an arrow
The destroyer of three cities (Tripuras),
the one bowed by all in the three worlds
I seek the refuge of that God Chandrasekhara
(God Shiva, who has the moon on his head),
so what can Yama do to me? 🌸🙏🏼
