🇮🇳 **80th Independence Day Celebration at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya SAP, Thiruvananthapuram** 🇮🇳

With hearts filled with patriotism and pride, **PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya SAP, Thiruvananthapuram** celebrated the **80th Independence Day** with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. 🇮🇳✨

The celebration commenced with the arrival of the **Chief Guest**, followed by the ceremonial welcome by the Colour Party and the **hoisting of the National Flag**. The campus resonated with the spirit of freedom as students and staff joined together in the singing of the **National Song, National Anthem and Flag Song**.

The programme featured inspiring speeches, melodious patriotic songs, vibrant dances and a captivating **Dance Drama** presented by our talented students. Each performance beautifully reflected the values of patriotism, unity, courage and responsibility.

The celebration was a proud reminder of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities we carry as citizens of a proud and progressive India.

Today, 2nd August 2026, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate and address the nationwide campaign " Against Addiction, Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – Sankalp Abhiyan".

Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education invites students, teachers, school management committees, parents and communities across the country to join the virtual address and take the Pledge.

As part of the Action Plan, schools across the nation are encouraged to organise awareness and sensitisation activities against to***co consumption and substance abuse, reaffirming their commitment to creating to***co and drug-free educational institutions.
