Kochi Biennale Foundation and along with .gallery are delighted to announce as the first recipient of the DBF-KMB Award, a multi-year exhibition and lecture programme at the Hayward gallery in London.

As part of the award, the Hayward will host Amol’s first institutional solo exhibition in the UK at their Heni Project Space from 9th October to 19th November 2023

Patil was selected on the strength of his installation, ‘The Politics of Skin and Movement,’ presented at the fifth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale.

I'm incredibly honored and grateful to be recognized as one of India's Top 25 representatives for India's Soft Power globally by OPEN magazine. This year the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB) may have got off to a bumpy start as at the very last minute, the opening date was postponed. In the end, it was all about the power of human creativity triumphing over organisational adversity, and the credit must mainly go to Bose Krishnamachari, artist and impresario. Since 2010, KMB has become intrinsic to the Indian and international art calendar. The flamboyant Krishnamachari, its co-founder
and president, and known for executing large and ambitious projects that require both great vision and fortitude, has worked the hardest for this.
