**Truth:** ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects both children and adults. It can impact attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, making everyday tasks challenging.

💡 **Myth:** Only children have ADHD.
**Truth:** ADHD often persists into adulthood. Many adults may not realize they have ADHD until they face challenges in their personal and professional lives.

**Truth:** People with ADHD can hyperfocus on tasks that interest them but may struggle to maintain attention on less engaging activities.

💡 **Myth:** ADHD is caused by bad parenting.

The Story of Arunima Sinha: From Tragedy to Triumph

Arunima Sinha, a former national-level volleyball player from India, faced a life-altering tragedy that transformed her life in unexpected ways. Her story is one of incredible resilience, determination, and courage.

The Tragedy

In April 2011, while traveling on a train to Delhi for a job interview, Arunima was attacked by a group of robbers. When she resisted their attempts to sn**ch her chain, they threw her out of the moving train. She fell onto the tracks and another train coming from the opposite direction crushed her left leg below the knee.

The Struggle

Arunima was rushed to the hospital where she underwent immediate surgery. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, her leg had to be amputated. This was a devastating blow for someone who had dedicated her life to sports. Many people would have succumbed to despair, but Arunima was different.

The Determination

While recuperating in the hospital, Arunima decided she would not let the incident define her. She resolved to do something extraordinary to prove that she could overcome any obstacle. Inspired by cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who had battled cancer, she decided to climb Mount Everest.

The Journey

With an iron will and the support of her family and friends, Arunima began her training. She contacted Bachendri Pal, the first Indian woman to climb Everest, who agreed to train her. Despite her physical limitations, Arunima's dedication and hard work were unwavering. She faced numerous challenges during her training, but her resolve remained strong.

The Triumph

On May 21, 2013, just two years after her life-changing accident, Arunima Sinha reached the summit of Mount Everest, becoming the world's first female amputee to achieve this feat. Her incredible journey did not stop there. She went on to climb several other peaks, including Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Europe, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Mount Aconcagua in South America, Mount Denali in North America, and Mount Vinson in Antarctica.

The Legacy

Arunima Sinha's story is a testament to the power of the human spirit. She has shown that with determination, perseverance, and a positive attitude, one can overcome even the most daunting obstacles. She has since become a motivational speaker, inspiring countless individuals with her story. Arunima has also authored a book, "Born Again on the Mountain," where she chronicles her journey from the railway tracks to the summit of the world.

Her achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award. Arunima Sinha's life is a powerful reminder that adversity can be transformed into opportunity, and with unwavering resolve, one can conquer even the highest peaks.
