In recognition of the efforts carried out over the past fifty years for the upliftment of the hill-dwelling communities, Dale View has been awarded the “Centre of Excellence” status by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
At a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, the award was unveiled by the Honorable Governor Shri Rajendra Arlekar. Chairperson Dr. Deena Das C.S., Director Dinil Das C.S., and Principal Dr. Shiji Kumar P.S. received the award from the Honorable Governor.

Dale View Group of Institutions has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for its outstanding contributions towards tribal development, research, and community outreach activities.
The institution was appreciated for its impactful initiatives including community libraries, skill development programmes, women empowerme nt activities, handicraft promotion, and tribal welfare programmes across 33 tribal settlements benefiting nearly three lakh tribal families.

The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre Autonomous successfully organized a fruitful Academic and Research Discussion & Collaboration Meeting with The Gandhigram Rural Institute-Deemed to be University, Gandhigram, Tamil nadu, Govt.of India on 08 May 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Chairperson Dr. Deena Das C S, who emphasized the importance and growing need of interdisciplinary research in addressing contemporary healthcare and societal challenges. She highlighted that collaborative research integrating multiple disciplines would significantly contribute towards innovation, quality education, scientific advancement, and sustainable community development.
During the session, Dr. Shaiju D. Alfi, MD & CEO elaborated on the various academic and interdisciplinary research possibilities between the two institutions and emphasized the importance of collaborative initiatives for quality research, innovation, and holistic development.
The special address was delivered by Dr. P. Kalimuthu, Professor and Director, Cancer Research Centre, The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu, Govt. of India. He shared valuable insights on anticancer research, recent scientific developments, and the scope for collaborative research projects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Principal Dr. Shiji Kumar P. S welcomed the gathering and reiterated the institution’s commitment towards strengthening academic networking, research collaborations, and outcome-based learning practices.
The interactive discussion extended with various department presentations by Deans, HoDs, and Research scholars of both institutions, with a mutual understanding to promote future collaborations in academics, interdisciplinary research, innovation, faculty exchange, student development, and community-oriented healthcare initiatives.

A certificate programmes on “Soft Skill Development – Communication Skills, Resume Writing and Interview Skills” was conducted on 12th March 2026 for the students of First and Second Year Pharm.D at The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Autonomous, in association with Brooks Academy, Trivandrum.
The session was handled by Dr . David Gannieos, HR Business Consultant and HR Advisor, Brooks Academy, who shared his valuable insights on professional communication and effective interview strategies required for career advancement.
The session mainly focused on communication and interview skills, helping students to express their ideas clearly and confidently in professional situations. The speaker also explained the important aspects of resume writing, including proper structure and highlighting academic achievements, internships, projects, and key skills.
Special emphasis was given to interview preparation techniques, such as answering questions confidently, maintaining professional body language, and presenting oneself effectively during interviews.
The session helped students understand the importance of soft skills in building a successful professional career and provided practical guidance for improving their employability.

Students Visit to Distrct TB Centre
A study visit to the TB Centre was organized for the 7th Semester B.Pharm students of The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre (Autonomous) on 6 March 2026. The program was coordinated by Ms. Tinu B. Shaji, Associate Professor of the college.
The main objective of the visit was to provide students with knowledge about the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis (TB) and the activities carried out at the TB Centre. During the session, Ms. Kavitha, Pharmacist of the TB Centre, and Mr. Biju, TB Health Visitor, delivered informative talks for the students.
They explained the common symptoms of tuberculosis such as persistent cough, fever, weight loss, and night sweats. The session also included information about the anti-tubercular drugs used in TB treatment and the importance of regular medication and patient compliance to ensure successful treatment.
The students were also informed about the methods used for the detection of TB, including sputum examination and other diagnostic procedures followed in TB control programs.
The visit was informative and helped students gain a better understanding of tuberculosis management and the role of TB centres in disease control and prevention. Overall, the program was useful in improving the students’ awareness of TB and public health initiatives related to its management.

My Bharat Honour to Yuva Hub of Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Autonomous
As part of the Viksit Bharat Mission, My Bharat, Thiruvananthapuram organized a Youth Parliament on 27-02-2026 at Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Autonomous as the host venue. A large number of students from various colleges enthusiastically participated in the programme.
The Yuva Hub functioning at Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Center, with the recognition of My Bharat, received an honour for its outstanding performance. The award was received by the College Principal, Dr. Shiji Kumar P S, from the District Programme Officer, Shri Suhas, in the presence of the College MD & CEO, Dr. Shaiju D. Alfi.

National Science Day Celebration
The Department of Pharmaceutics celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2026 in association with Mera Yuva Bharat (My Bharat), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The program was conducted to promote scientific awareness and encourage innovation among pharmacy students.
The event was organized under the guidance of Shri. Suhas N., District Youth Officer, Thiruvananthapuram. The celebration included three competitions: Quiz Competition, Essay Writing Competition, and Idea Contest. About 60 students actively participated in the program, showcasing their knowledge, creativity, and scientific thinking.
The Principal and Managing Director graced the occasion and addressed the students, highlighting the importance of scientific research and innovation in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
Shri. Anilkumar M., State Director of My Bharat, Kerala Zone, distributed certificates to the winners and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students.
The program concluded successfully with active involvement from students and faculty members, fulfilling the objective of fostering scientific temper and innovative thinking among budding pharmacists. #
