The Drama Club - September 20
*Scriptwriting FUN!*✨

We began our session with some relaxing art time with our early birds while we waited for all our talented actors to arrive 🎨

During our Activity Hour, we rewrote the children's classic Little Red Riding Hood. We hear the hungry Wolf's side of the story - he has no prey to catch because The Huntsman and his ilk are indiscriminately hunting in the woods. The kids came up with their dialogues and they wrote 4 short scenes together.

During Drama Hour, we did a table read of the script they wrote, and got into the business of acting it out. The kids were especially invested in the play because they wrote their own lines! ❤️

A play in a day and they nailed it! 🤩

*Saturday Activity Circle - Seniors*,
September 19

Our book discussion today was on the famous book 'Alice's Adventures In Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll. This is a story full of whimsy and memorable characters, a must read for everyone! ✨

For art time, we had a peaceful water colour painting session with many wonderful works of art being created 👩🏽‍🎨🫟

Our group discussion was on the subject of 'Things That You Are Thankful For'. Our participants answers ranged from family and food, to animals and sports.

For Game Time, we played some rounds of The Association game, where one person says a word, and the next person says something associated with it. Following this, we played Uno, Connect 4 and Mastermind!

*Saturday Activity Circle - Juniors*, September 19

For today's Story Time, we read the book 'Toffee's New Friend' by Sally Chambers. This book is a lovely story of friendship and animals. It follows a cat named Toffee, who one day notices that new neighbours are moving in, bringing with them their own little kitten, who tries making friends with Toffee. At first, Toffee doesn't like the kitten, but they eventually become fast friends! ❤️🐾

After the story, we had a nice long drawing and colouring session, with our participants completing lots of pictures 😁🖍️

Our game for the day was Pictionary, and our participants enthusiastically pitched in guesses at to what was being drawn! This was followed by a brief round of a language game where we named an object, for e.g. a flower, in as many languages as you can!

For Free Play, we played a new game called Crazy Face Puzzle, where we make different expressions using painted wood blocks. This game was a great hit with the kids!
