L'Alliance française de Trivandrum (AFT) est un centre culturel franco-indien spécialisé dans l'enseignement de la langue française, l'organisation et la réception d'événements culturels. Son prestige en fait une des scènes culturelles les plus appréciées de la capitale du Kerala. Fondée en 1883, l’Alliance française a pour mission de promouvoir la langue et la culture françaises et les échanges

interculturels à travers le monde par l’organisation de cours de langue française et de programmes culturels. C’est aujourd’hui un réseau de renommée mondiale comprenant 1071 comités dans 137 pays, avec plus de 400.000 étudiants chaque année, qui font de l’Alliance française le plus grand réseau culturel et d’enseignement du français au monde. L’Alliance française de Trivandrum est l’une des 16 alliances réparties dans 15 Etats indiens. Depuis sa création à Trivandrum en 1980 et l’ouverture d’une annexe à Kochi en 1998, l’Alliance française de Trivandrum a développé expertise et excellence dans l’enseignement du français langue étrangère et mis en place de nombreux partenariats culturels dans la communauté. Elle propose aussi des cours extérieurs dans de nombreux collèges, écoles et entreprises tant à Trivandrum qu’à Kochi. L’Alliance française de Trivandrum est une association sans buts lucratifs et assure son autonomie financière avec le soutien partiel du gouvernement français. Des ressources et services variés sont mis à la disposition de nos membres et de nos étudiants. La bibliothèque offre une large sélection de livres, magazines, DVD et CD de musique française. Plus de cinquante manifestations culturelles et sociales comprenant des concerts, expositions, projections de films, conférences, sont organisées chaque année en coopération avec des institutions culturelles indiennes, françaises et européennes. La participation d’artistes locaux est encouragée par la présentation régulière d’expositions dans la galerie de l’Alliance française. Alliance française de Trivandrum (AFT) is the Indo-French cultural centre in Kerala which specializes in French language teaching, organizing and curating cultural events. The Alliance Française was founded in 1883 in Paris. Its mission is to promote the use and appreciation of the French Language and Culture throughout the world through French Language classes and cultural programs. It is today an established world renowned network made up of 1071 centres in 137 countries, with more than 400.000 students per year, all of which make the Alliance Française the largest French language teaching and cultural network in the world. The Alliance Française de Trivandrum is one of the 16 Alliances spread over 15 states in India. Since its creation in 1980 in Trivandrum and the opening of a branch in Kochi in 1998 the Alliance Française de Trivandrum has developed an expertise and excellence in teaching French as a Foreign Language and created many cultural partnerships in the community. The Alliance Française de Trivandrum has now more than 800 students in its classes a year. It also offers off-site classes in several schools, colleges and companies (business / tourism field) in Trivandrum and in Kochi. The Alliance Française de Trivandrum is a non-profit association which ensures the self-financing of its operations. It is supported partially by the French Government. Our students and members have access to various services and resources through our centre. The library offers a wide range of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs of French music and films. The Alliance Française de Trivandrum organizes more than 50 cultural and social events a year, including concerts, exhibitions, film screenings and lectures in collaboration with Indian, French and European cultural institutions and partners. Participation of local artists is encouraged by regular exhibitions in the gallery of the Alliance.
