Sports is not only about competition and technique, but also about emotional activities involved. And competition breeds a lot of things, the most enduring of which is an inspiration. The fact is that some incredible motivational speeches from the wide world of sports have a positive impact on the budding athletes. There are inspirational speeches for every situation: the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, the importance of teamwork, and the discipline required to reach great heights. Keeping this in mind, the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs have brought up the Legends Talk to Future Legends series of programmes in Sports Schools.
Today (17.11.2022), the first programme in this series was held in G V Raja Sports School, Thiruvananthapuram. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. S Prem Krishnan IAS, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. Shri. S Gopinath IPS, former IG of Police and former international volleyball player was the Keynote Speaker and Shri. V P Shaji, former international football player was the Guest of Honour. Dr. P T Joseph, High Performance Manager, Khelo India State Centre of Excellence, Dr. Surendran M K, Principal and Smt. Reshmi K S, Headmistress graced the occasion.
