I proposed a girl in PRIST with having the idea of getting only two result that is either "She'll accept my proposal " or "She'll reject me ", but is was PRIST UNIVERSITY who made me suspend for doing so and ordered for year back.

UGC To Help Students With Its Grievance & Redressal Mechanism


UGC (University Grants Commission) has come forward to maintain the environment of its colleges and universities along with the needs and problems of its students. Every university and institute recognized by the UGC will have to set up a grievance redressal mechanism where students can lodge their complaints on matters related to admissions, irregularities, victimisation and sexual harassment. The University Grants Commission on Wednesday published a gazette notification about the UGC (Grievance Redressal) Regulations, 2012 which also seeks to set up an ombudsman for redressal of grievances of students. The regulations ensure every higher education institution for a mandatory publication of its prospectus, content and pricing, each component of the tuition fee and number of seats approved for each course and programme. Significantly, the regulations come even as a number of legislations related to reforms in higher education -- some of which seeks to achieve the above said purpose -- are stuck in Parliament for over two years now. UGC also calls for setting up of grievance redressal committee, which would be constituted by Vice- Chancellor of an affiliated university and comprise of senior professor as its chairman and three senior teachers drawn from affiliating colleges on a rotation basis.

P.Murugesan, Chancellor of PRIST University, inaugurated the fast. N.Ethirajulu, Vice Chancellor, PRIST University,
Vincent H.Wilson, Registrar, PRIST University, participated in the protest as a show of solidarity towards Anna's cause. Mr.Murugesan said that corruption should be rooted out from the country.

Students demanded that the Jan Lokpal Bill be introduced in Parliament immediately.
