🌟 Event Highlight | BEST – Idea Pitch & Voice for BT @ Deemed University 🌟

We are proud to share that SASTRA Deemed University was selected as the South Zone Coordinator and Host Institution for the Voice for BT 2025 (22nd August) and the BEST Program (21st August), organized by ABLE - Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises.

ABLEST – SASTRA successfully coordinated the South India edition with the support of ABLE, Novonesis, and Yokogawa Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. The events brought together 20 academic colleges and institutes, where students showcased innovative ideas and explored emerging biotechnology trends—making it a true celebration of talent and innovation in the life sciences ecosystem.

We were delighted to host a two-day hands-on training for students of Blossom Public School, Thanjavur at the Association for Bio-inspired Leaders & Entrepreneurs at SASTRA TBI (ABLEST).

🔬 Theme: Bio-Industrial Fundamentals – Molecular Biology Techniques

📍 Venue: ABLEST, SASTRA Deemed University

👩‍🔬 Participants: 48 students (24 each on 08.08.2025 & 09.08.2025)

The program offered practical exposure to core molecular biology techniques, strengthening students’ foundational lab skills for future scientific pursuits.

We were delighted to host a two-day hands-on training program for students of Kamala Subramaniam Matric School, Thanjavur at Association for Bio-inspired Leaders & Entrepreneurs at SASTRA TBI (ABLEST).

📍 Venue: ABLEST – SASTRA Deemed University

📅 Day 1 (04.08.2025): 33 enthusiastic boys
📅 Day 2 (05.08.2025): 33 equally motivated girls

This program provided students with practical exposure to core molecular biology techniques and helped build foundational lab skills essential for future scientific exploration.

🎓 Successful Completion of Faculty Development Program (FDP)

ABLEST – SASTRA Deemed University successfully hosted a 3-day Faculty Development Program from June 27 to 29, 2025, for faculty members from the Department of Biotechnology, Kamaraj College of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous), Virudhunagar.

The training was conducted at the ASK-II ABLEST Lab and focused on hands-on exposure to emerging techniques in biotechnology and research innovation.

We thank the participating faculty members for their enthusiastic involvement and look forward to continued collaboration in fostering academic excellence.

The Association for Bio-Inspired Leaders and Entrepreneurs at SASTRA TBI (ABLEST) is honored to partner with DBT and BIRAC to support government initiatives such as the Circular Bioeconomy, Net Zero Carbon Economy, and Lifestyle for Environment.
