The Science Expo *Vijñáñá Utsav 2023-24* commenced with the inauguration by Director Mr.Vinith,Principal Mrs.shenbagadevi , Manager Mr. Moorthi, signaling the start of a journey into the realms of scientific exploration and innovation. Simultaneously, the Heritage Exhibition, inviting attendees to delve into the rich tapestry of India's cultural heritage.

A complete report on industrial visit organized by NR Public school for the students of VI, VII, VIII in order to get the practical knowledge about advanced technology used in food processing industry.

DETAILS OF JOURNEY
An industrial visit to National institute of food technology entrepreneurship and management thanjavur was organised by science department on Friday, 2 February 2024.Students from VI, VII, VIII along with Director, principal and 5 faculties were there in the journey.
NIFTEM is the brainchild of the ministry of food processing industries (MOFPI)Government of india. MOFPI in its vision document -2015,envisaged creation of world class institution to cater to the various stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, food processing industry policy makers government and existing institutions. It also offer courses and training programmes of global stands. Optimal mix of inputs on food technology management and entrepreneurship.
Students along with the faculty members visited the food science and technology department. The visit started with a presentation explaining innovation in food sector and the growth of food processing industry in India in global context. They explained that a part from imparting world class education in the field of food science and technology, the department has research programmes in frontline areas of food science and technology. The department is also involved in skill development of the farmers and industry personnel. Unlike the existing food science institute in india, NIFTEM function as a center for integrated education, research,enterprise incubation and outreach in the area of food science, technology and business.
After presentation the students visited the state of the art laboratories, incubation centers, and pilot plants followed by food engineering lab, food packaging lab, microbiology lab, and central instrumentation lab.
This visit was very beneficial for the students as they learnt the important aspects of skill and entrepreneurship development in food technology, This industrial visit is very helpful in our future practical life and bring a positive change in our thinking and practical behavior regarding education and specializing our technical skills,got practical knowledge about the advancement in technology of machines, learnt practical experience on field of food processing.

75th National Republic Day at NR public school , the event kicked off with a spirited students' march past, setting the patriotic tone for the day. The National Flag was proudly hoisted by Dr. Jhana Ranjane, a distinguished dermatologist consultant, while the School Flag found its place under the hands of Mrs. Anjali Vivek, an HR assistant consultant.

Adding to the ceremonial charm, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was gracefully conducted by V Uma Maheswari, a proud BE graduate. The cultural program commenced with the vibrant school assembly, and the principal delivered a warm welcome speech.

The youngest talents from kindergarten grades stole the show dressed up as national leaders/freedom fighters in the fancy dress competition

The mesmerising tri-colour dance performed by the 5th-grade girls. Vandhana eloquently delivered an English speech, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks by Joshika. The event concluded on a patriotic note with the entire gathering standing in unity for the national anthem.

Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated by the Tamil community. It is a celebration to thank the Sun, Mother Nature and the various farm animals that help to contribute to a bountiful harvest.

The Pongal celebration at our school, adorned with cultural fervor and festive spirit, unfolded with a soulful prayer, setting the tone for an enchanting day. Dharshika, with her warm welcome speech, ushered in the gathering, creating an atmosphere of anticipation.

The tiny tots of KG stole the show with their adorable dance performance, spreading smiles and joy. Amritha, in a eloquent Tamil speech, eloquently articulated the cultural significance of Pongal, connecting everyone to the roots of the festival.

The cultural diversity was showcased through a mesmerizing team Villupattu performance, capturing the essence of traditional storytelling. KG students added a touch of glamour with a ramp walk, leaving the audience in awe of their innocence and charm.

Principal Mam graced the occasion with her insightful speech. Kirooshini, in an eloquent English speech, beautifully bridged the gap between tradition and modernity.

The rhythmic beats and graceful moves of students from grades 1 and 2 illuminated the stage in a lively dance performance, while a soulful Pongal song resonated through the hall, celebrating the harvest festival's joyous spirit.

Nihashini's Hindi speech added another layer of linguistic diversity. The older students from grades 3, 4, and 5 dazzled the audience with a vibrant dance, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.

Joshika, in a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the participants, organizers,and the audience.

The grand finale of the evening was marked by the resonating chords of the National Anthem.

In conclusion, the Pongal celebration, anchored by Varun Kabil and Kanishka Meera, became a tapestry of cultural richness, talent, and unity.
