At last, the Sulonians close the curtains on the International Student Exchange Programme on 22nd April, 2026. While attending the day’s classes with their Italian counterparts one final time, they received the opportunity to present one more little piece of their culture by presenting 3D models to the teachers part of the Cultural Exchange Programme.
After bading goodbye to the idyllic IIS Archimede, the students and teachers settled in a serene park for a picnic together. They squeezed out all the last drops of delight and fun they possibly could during this time, and enjoyed these few final hours together to the fullest. It was truly the most perfect way to conclude this Cultural Exchange, and encapsulated the strong bonds and sweet memories that were created in the past ten days.
With their stomachs, bags and hearts completely full, the students of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School now get ready to return back home.

Empowering Minds: A Journey Towards Academic and Global Excellence
A session was conducted on 2 April 2026 for Grade 12 ISC students, focusing on the
importance of consistent discipline, examination performance, and overall academic
achievement. The discussion was led by the Section Head, Mrs Sangeeta Londhe, who
emphasised the need for dedication and regularity in academic pursuits.
This was followed by an informative presentation by students on upcoming international
opportunities associated with Harvard University and the University of Oxford, scheduled to take
place at FLAME University, Pune. Students were encouraged to actively participate and gain
valuable global exposure.
The session concluded with detailed insights into Model United Nations (MUN) through India’s
International Movement to United Nations (IIMUN), organised in collaboration with the United
Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Switzerland, marking 15 years of the
organisation. The importance of such platforms in enhancing students’ confidence, public
speaking, and leadership skills was highlighted.

Today evening, as part of the student exchange program, we visited the Planetario di San Giovanni in Persiceto, and it turned out to be a really memorable experience. Sitting under the dome and watching the night sky come alive felt almost surreal. The way the stars, planets, and constellations were projected made it feel like we were actually travelling through space. We especially liked how everything was explained in a simple and interesting way, which made it easy to follow even the more complex ideas.
What made the visit special for us was how it combined science with storytelling. Learning about constellations and the stories behind them made the experience much more engaging. It also made us think about how small we are compared to the universe, which was both humbling and fascinating. Overall, it was not just educational but also something we genuinely enjoyed, and it’s definitely one of the highlights of our exchange program so far.

As part of the student exchange program, we also participated in a bee workshop that focused on the relationship between bees and nature. The session helped us understand how bees play a crucial role in pollination and how their work supports the growth of plants, crops, and overall biodiversity. We learned how closely connected bees are to the environment and how their survival directly impacts ecosystems and food production.
What made the experience meaningful for us was realizing how dependent nature is on such small creatures. It gave us a deeper appreciation for the balance within ecosystems and the importance of protecting bees and their habitats. Overall, the workshop was both insightful and eye-opening, and it added another valuable dimension to our exchange program experience.

Dil, Dosti and Dreams:Celebrating the Class of 2026
On April 13, 2026, the 11th-grade cohort organized a farewell party at the
Malhar Hall. The theme was “Dil, Dosti and Dreams.” The event was
organized to bid a heartfelt adieu to the outgoing Grade 12 batch, celebrating
their years of academic dedication and the deep friendships formed during
their high school journey.
The atmosphere throughout the day was a perfect blend of nostalgia and

Everyone entered the hall dressed in stunning sarees and suits. The
proceedings commenced with an elegant welcome, followed by a series of
ethereal musical performances. Singers delivered melodious renditions of
songs that set an emotional tone for the audience. A significant highlight was
the alumni speech, where a former student shared personal experiences and
offered valuable advice on maintaining lifelong bonds beyond school walls.
The energy soon shifted as the “Cultural Extravaganza” took center stage.
Various dance performances spanned genres from Punjabi to hip-hop,
drawing loud cheers and applause from the crowd. The school band
delivered a poignant set; as the hall lights were dimmed, students waved their
phone torches in unison.
Following this, representatives from the Science, Commerce, and Humanities
streams shared unique anecdotes from their lab sessions and debates. The
award ceremony, featuring both fun and formal titles like the Arjun Award and
the Student of the Year Award, further energized the audience.
The event concluded with laughter, tears, and countless photographs. The
farewell was a resounding success, flawlessly executing a program that
balanced high-energy entertainment with moments of deep reflection. The
smooth coordination between the student organizers and the faculty ensured
that the legacy of the Class of 2026 was honored with the prestige it

Day 7
The Sulonian students had a memorable day in Italy as part of their exchange program. They began the morning by attending regular classes alongside their Italian partners, getting a firsthand experience of a different education system and classroom culture. They were able to interact well with the fellow Italians and share knowledge. Meanwhile, our teacher Mrs. Deepika Sen delivered an insightful lecture to the Italian students on Mahatma Gandhi, highlighting his philosophy of non-violence and its global impact. Her talk sparked curiosity and thoughtful discussion among the audience.
Later in the day, the group visited the Lamborghini Museum, where they explored the evolution of one of Italy’s most iconic automobile brands. Celebrating Culture Through Dance at NCPA
Students of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Master Yuvaan Jain and Miss Harsh*tha Nair, proudly represented their school at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in the Bharatanatyam duet category, where they secured an impressive third place.
Their performance was inspired by the concept of Ardhanarishwara, beautifully portraying the balance of strength and grace through the divine union of Shiva and Parvati. With expressive storytelling and graceful movements, they brought alive the essence of this powerful theme.
This initiative by NCPA aims to preserve and promote India’s rich heritage of classical dance and music by encouraging young talent. For the students, the experience was not just about winning but about learning, growth, and deepening their understanding of the art form.
Their journey reflects dedication, discipline, and a true appreciation for the timeless beauty of Indian classical dance.
