The first session of the рдЕрдирд╡рдЯ рд░рд╛рдЧ рдорд╣реЛрддреНрд╕рд╡ was very good.
Pratima Tilak began with the Raga Gauri and then presented a wonderful Khokar.
Vishwas Shirgaonkar presented two jod ragas, Bhoop-Nat & Adambari Kedar (Kedar & Shankara).
Yati Bhagwat on Tabla & Siddhesh Bicholkar on Harmonium were outstanding.
Prof Milind Malshe who compered the program explained the motivation and historical background behind this annual festival. This is the ninth year of this рдорд╣реЛрддреНрд╕рд╡.
In the рдЕрдирд╡рдЯ рд░рд╛рдЧ рдорд╣реЛрддреНрд╕рд╡ реирежрезрео, the second day's session continued both the themes of the first day, namely рдЧреМрд░реА & рдирдЯ.
Dr Meenal Deshpande, a specialist in рдЬреЛрдб-рд░рд╛рдЧs, gave a poised & effortless performance, singing рд▓рд▓рд┐рддрд╛-рдЧреМрд░реА & рдирдЯ-рдХрд╛рдореЛрдж. She concluded her concert with рд░рд╛рдЧ рд╕рд┐рдВрдзреБрд░рд╛.
Prof Milind Malshe continued the theme of рдЧреМрд░реА with two compositions in рд░рд╛рдЧ рдорд╛рд▓реАрдЧреМрд░рд╛, which is a combination of рдкреВрд░рд┐рдпрд╛ & рдЧреМрд░реА.
His performance of the rare raga рдХреМрд╕реА рдХрд╛рдирдбрд╛ (рдирд╛рдпрдХреА рдЕрдВрдЧ) followed by a drut composition in рдирд╛рдпрдХреА рдХрд╛рдирдбрд╛ was highly exuberant particularly in the upper octave.
Yati Bhagwat on Tabla & Siddhesh Bicholkar on Harmonium gave a sparking display as accompanists.
On Sunday morning, in the third session of the рдЕрдирд╡рдЯ рд░рд╛рдЧ рдорд╣реЛрддреНрд╕рд╡, Jyoti Khare presented рд░рд╛рдЧ рдмрд┐рд▓рд╛рд╕рдЦрд╛рдиреА рддреЛрдбреА through vilambit and drut bandishes. It was an admirable presentation.
The presentation of three рдЕрдирд╡рдЯ ragas of the other traditions of Agra & Gwalior gharanas by Nishad Bakre was captivating. It added a different flavor. Bakre sang Ragas рдХреБрдХреБрдн рдмрд┐рд▓рд╛рд╡рд▓, рдЦрдЯ & рднреИрд░рд╡-рдмрд╣рд╛рд░.
In the final session, Dr Jyoti Kale presented elegant bandishes in ragas
The real climax to the рдорд╣реЛрддреНрд╕рд╡ was the singing of Dr Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande. She took the рдорд╣реЛрддреНрд╕рд╡ to great heights. The initial рдЦреЗрдордХрд▓реНрдпрд╛рдг was sung elaborately in a lilting manner. Then she presented a fantastic bandish in one of the rarest ragas of Jaipur Gharana, called рдЧреЛрдзрдиреА (also known as рд╕реБрдирд╡рдВрддреА) which she had received from Pt Ratnakar Pai, followed by her own composition in that raga. Ashwini tai ended her concert with a brilliant raga рдкрд░рдЬ.
