An essential step in Endodontic therapy is restoring the tooth for function and aesthetics, often achieved with a post and core. Not every treated tooth requires a post, as its primary function is to enhance core retention, not strengthen the tooth. Clinicians may use a post when coronal filling lacks sufficient retention, typically in cases with 30% to 40% destruction of the tooth.
